24.01.2022 Burst hot water pipe -repaired. My clients had water bubbling up through the pavers , the water heater was running all day and heating water constantly as my client could not turn off her meter. (which I was unaware of until I arrived)... I removed the pavers and dug out the sand to locate the leaking pipe, it had a large split in it and the copper pipe had eroded causing the leak. The video is with the water meter just open, not fully on, so you can imagine the amount of water the clients have lost. A leak allowance form which you can download from the water Corp’s website can be submitted to claim for the loss of water

21.01.2022 A Full Bathroom, laundry and WC renovation completed with White gloss 600x300 wall tile and 600x600 porcelain floor tile It was originally just meant to be a Bathroom Reno which escalated (at my clients request) due to discovering further water damage in the walls and floor once work had started.... My clients had ongoing damp issues with wet walls, the hallway laminate floor lifting-swelling etc.. caused by water damage Their bathroom looked nice and in good condition as it had recently been renovated before they had bought the house, but it had not been done correctly in fact very poor workmanship. The floor and walls had not been waterproofed, the floor was tile over tile and the wall tiling was over white set plaster with no preparation so all tiles were loose and drummy (hollow). Water had soaked through into the walls and floor screed .

05.01.2022 Replacement of a gas storage heater in Kinross which was 21 years old , it was manufactured 1999 which isn’t bad . The tank had finally rusted out and was leaking water badly. 03.01.2022 It’s always nice when I get a review and comments like this from my clients Their hot water unit had rusted out and was leaking water badly from the base leaving them with no hot water They also requested the new unit to be positioned at the front of the property not where the existing storage HW unit was to the rear. ... SMI fitted a new Rinnai B20 instantaneous continuous flow hot water unit (which are much more cost effective to run - saving $$’s) also this gives continuous hot water on demand - no need to wait for the hot water storage tank to heat up again if someone has had a shower or bath before you.
