17.01.2022 B R E A K I N G N E W S Tassie, you did it! A landslide victory - unanimous support in the upper house!!!!... Today has made Tasmanian history!!! Today, for the first time EVER, the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill has PASSED in the Tasmanian Legislative Council. A bittersweet day for so many of us. We hope we’ve made you proud Mum. Thank you to our MP’s from the Legislative Council who have represented their electorate and supported this compassionate legislation. You have served Tasmania well and we could not have asked for more Of course, this is just one hurdle in the process. We still have a way to go, with the bill to be debated in the House of Assembly, but we are one step closer to a more compassionate legislation. So now, it’s over to the MP’s in the Lower House. We are counting on our representatives. And so is Tasmania. We can do this! It’s our time Tasmania #voluntaryassisteddying #vad #doingitfordisey #yourchoicetas #tasmania #parliament #legislation #signsfromabove #victory #compassion #yourlife #yourright #yourchoice #passed #GoGentle #PeacefulDeath

10.01.2022 Tasmania is at a crossroads on feral deer management. Numbers are increasing across the state and deer are invading the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area... and other high conservation value areas. The development of a management plan that protects Tasmania's incredible wilderness areas and its farmers from destructive deer is critical to protecting what we love about Tassie. Public input is being encouraged at meetings being held next week in Bothwell, Longford, Ulverstone and Brighton. For details visit https://dpipwe.tas.gov.au//wild-fallow-deer-management-plan

04.01.2022 Have your say and help shape Tasmania's renewable energy policy! In a fantastic initiative that I hope will be emulated by other organisations, young Tasmanians... are being given the opportunity to have their views considered in the drafting of Tasmanian's Renewable Energy Action Plan (TREAP). Today, the Government released a child friendly version of the draft TREAP so young Tasmanians can learn about the proposed policy and provide feedback - so that they too can shape Tasmania's renewable energy future. I really encourage young people to take advantage of opportunities like this to have your views heard. You can view the Government’s draft Renewable Energy Action Plan at https://www.stategrowth.tas.gov.au/CCYPrenewables and provide your feedback on it by completing a short survey at: https://www.surveygizmo.com//5839970/CCYP-Renewables-Have- #HearMyVoiceTas
