24.01.2022 What a whirlwind 2020 has been and its only August! Like many small businesses 2020 has been tough emotionally and financially and for myself it was time to make a decision on where I could take the business I have grown so I could continue to do what I love. Luckily for me I have been offered the opportunity to move into a beautiful space in Adamstown with @tonicnaturalhealth where I will continue to look after all my amazing beauties ... August will be my last month at my current location in New Lambton and I will then be working from Adamstown from September. Im so excited for this next chapter and look forward to introducing you all to my new space on the other side on the train tracks next month x

16.01.2022 Here at Smooth Escape I take everyones health and safety extremely serious. Please know I am doing everything I possibly can to keep my salon clean and virus free. I also need your help to keep myself and other clients safe. Please reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell... Get tested if you show symptoms use the hand sanitiser on arrival. I have several bottles throughout the salon that are available for use by all clients Please arrive to your appointment as close to time as possible to avoid people waiting in the reception area. So many of us are doing our part to avoid another shut down. 10 weeks of being closed already this year was more then enough! Please help me to avoid this happening again

15.01.2022 The day has come to move on from my space in New Lambton and I didnt realise how emotional it would be. This photo was taken on the first day in the salon (1st December 2016). I was so proud of myself and excited of the adventure ahead. Little did I know on that day how hard small business really is but also how rewarding it can be. Its been such a journey and Im going to truely miss working in the New Lambton Village. Thankyou to all my clients who have trusted me to t...ake care of you over these years. The laughs, the advice, sometimes the tears (yours not mine ) Thankyou to my fellow small businesses in the village. The support that is felt in New Lambton is amazing and I feel so blessed that I was able to start my business journey here with all of your guidance & friendship. Most importantly thank you to my family. A lot of you know how amazing my family is because I mention them a lot and without fail my parents are always here for it all! They moved me into my salon nearly 4 years ago and today they helped move me out. Although Im sad that this chapter is over Im so excited for the next. 08.01.2022 {Hi, Hello, Im Kassey} Recently Ive had a influx of new amazing clients and so I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself I have been the owner of Smooth Escape Beauty Studio for the past 3 1/2 years and counting. Ive been in the beauty industry for well over a decade and have over the years realised my passion definitely lies with Skin treatments, skin health and education. That doesnt mean I dont love the variety that every day brings and look forwar...d to reshaping those brows or bronzing youre skin! Im actually a bit of a tanaholic myself and often take advantage of owning my own spray tan machine on a weekly (even through winter!!) Having a small business and a small family of my own its definitely made me realise the importance of stopping and taking a time out for yourself which is why I believe I love what I do so much! It makes me happy to know Ive been able to help others to take that self care time and enjoy someone else looking after them. I aim to please and I hate to disappoint. I grew up in New Lambton and absolutely love the area and feel very lucky that my little salon is apart of the New Lambton village community. I so look forward to seeing my beautiful regular clients and also love when a new face walks through the door. 02.01.2022 A couple of months ago I searched through my calendar for a day where no appointments were booked yet and I closed it. It took all my willpower to not open up again as my books became busier but I knew it was important. Today is that day This year if nothing else has taught me that you have to take care of yourself first. Your mental health is important and sometimes that means taking a day for yourself to do whatever it is you want to do and not feel guilty about it. So, I’m taking a mental health day and I encourage you to do the same! If not the day then the afternoon, or a few hours at least, ask for help (this one I’m working on!), take a breathe, you are important I’ll catch all my beauties tomorrow feeling recharged so I can do it what I love and that’s make you all feel amazing!
