25.01.2022 Access stairway and landing for the Cairns Shell Terminal (Tank 11). The design is fully compliant with AS 1657. Features of the design include modular components for ease of hot dip galvanising and transportation. All structural connections are bolted to eliminate site welding and ease of installation.

23.01.2022 This is a compact modular design for a waste oil retrieval station used in Rio Tinto Heavy Vehicle Workshops. Features of the design include an integral save-all pump foundation for easy installation to workshop columns at waist height and for optimal ergonomic access. A heavy duty diaphragm pump is specified complete with dry-break hose connections to handle the sludge and solids common in the sump oil of heavy mining machinery.

22.01.2022 Progress on the latest design for the (trailer type) Hydro Vacuum Excavator is coming along nicely. The specifications for all of the master equipment are completed and the final phase of detailed design and workshop detailing is underway in readiness for manufacture.

21.01.2022 This special purpose Cargo Pallet was designed for Columbia Helicopters. Features of the design includes a 6m x 2.4m packing envelope with bolted connections for all structural elements to allow a knock-down to an optimal compact size for transportation. The rated capacity is 12 tonne and has four off starpoint lifting points. The design is also compliant with the Australian Standard for lifting devices (AS 4991 Lifting Devices).

04.01.2022 SMP Consulting designed this specialist structure for mobile access equipment (MAE) that suspends from the underside of either of the two stacker/reclaimers at the Rio Tinto Alcan (Weipa) mine site. The MAE is designed to allow maintenance personnel to carry out emergency repairs and maintenance on critical hydraulic equipment and if necessary, while the stacker/reclaimers are travelling. #keepproductionmoving
