The Melbourne Snake Catcher Raymond Hoser, has ...been busy day and night for the last week getting snakes out of bedrooms, lounges, bathrooms, kitchens and pretty much anywhere else they have been able to escape the heat. Added to that has been a spike in snakes hitching rides in cars. Yes, campers and others are bringing snakes back to Melbourne in their cars and the main offender has been venomous Red-bellied Black Snakes like the massive great beauties pictured here. Recent imported to Melbourne Red-bellied Black Snakes removed from cars (or after jumping off them) include one from Victoria Market, another two within 1 km of that site in the city of Melbourne, two in Toorak, three in Kew, including one from inside a school, one from inside a church in Abbotsford, one in Balwyn, which was caught in a bedroom after fleeing a car, one in Cranbourne (still hiding inside the passenger section of the car), one in Bayswater (fled from car into a factory), one in Tullamarine (the suburb), one in Doncaster, one in a rent-a-car at Melbourne Airport, one in Seaford and SEVERAL in Langwarrin. Most of the snakes hitching rides into Melbourne are from eastern Victoria and northern Victoria, along the Murray River, with a few from places further afield, like Sydney and Brisbane. Besides hitch-hiking snakes, the Melbourne Snake Catcher has been kept busy catching lots of deadly Tiger Snakes (including one in the city), Copperheads and Brown Snakes simply invading homes and gardens from nearby reserves. The Snakeman Raymond Hoser stresses the risk of bites is low unless one attacks the snake. Unless a snake is hanging around or likely to bite a pet, they are best left alone and to move off by themselves. 10.01.2022 To those parents worried about the safety of their kids with a Brown Snake lurking in the grounds of Eltham College for the last week, people can now relax. Af...ter calling a number of inexperienced snake handlers to catch the snake and none being able to locate it, the school brought in the Melbourne Snake Catcher, Raymond Hoser today, who swiftly tracked the snake to under a car-sized boulder, from which he surgically extracted it from over 6 foot under the rock. The adult male snake has now been relocated. Raymond Hoser is not the snake catcher with child sex offence convictions. That is another person and the confusion has arisen due to his usage of one or more of Raymond Hoser's registered trademarks and/or misleading and deceptive conduct using the trademarks or something similar.
