24.01.2022 After a bit of a cut and polish, the new stickers went on. I’m so happy with the outcome. Keep a look out for the Ute around Mitchell Shire and come and say hello. #snakesafevictoria #mitchellshirecouncil #snakecatchervictoria

15.01.2022 Kyle is one of our Snake Safe family members. Kyle has a huge passion for reptiles and completed his Venomous Snake handling course in Feb 2020. His favourite animal is the Saltwater Crocodile. Kyle is holding the worlds most venomous snake, the Inland Taipan. Found in remote areas of Queensland, it is very unlikely you will come across one of these in the wild as they tend to live in gaps and cracks in the earth. Stay Snake Safe #worldsmostvenomoussnake #inlandtaipan #snakesafe #green and black #snakeremoval

15.01.2022 Just got back from a late night snake rescue. It was an eastern brown snake caught in bird netting. This is one of the most dangerous jobs a snake catcher can get. Not only did I have to cut the netting from around the worlds second most venomous snake i had to do it at night in poor lighting. The snake was fierce and angry. To him he thought his life was coming to an end. He didn't know i was there to rescue him. Lucky for him i will check him over in the morning more thor...oughly for any damage then release him. Please if you have bird netting at home please make sure it meets regulations. Bird netting can only be 5mm or less the old 10mm is no longer allowed. Not only does this stuff harm snakes and can kill them it also harms Bats and birds and any other native wildlife that stumbles into it.

13.01.2022 What a great presentation.

10.01.2022 Chakra the greyhound came today to do some Reptile Avoidance training and as you can see by the end of the training she wanted nothing to do with the Mainland Tiger Snake. #refineyourcaninedogtraining #snakesafevictoria #tigersnake #greyhoundsofinstagram

09.01.2022 Nature is humans best friend. Just half an hour in the wilderness can make anyone calm. We went out looking for various reptiles today. The weather was great but unfortunately you can spend all day looking for scaley friends only to be let down. A bit like fishing really. Anyway I recommend you get out whenever you can and get a taste of the Victorian countryside! #victorianherping #snakesafevictoria #nosnakestoday

05.01.2022 With restrictions in place we are finding ourselves walking more often and in the garden a lot more. This means you may run into snakes more often than usual. Don’t be alarmed however. Be aware. Stick to tracks and paths when walking and keep dogs on a leash all times. Stay Snake Safe. #snakesafevictoria #tigersnake #mitchellshirecouncil #snake #covid19

02.01.2022 Here at Snake Safe we aren’t just about reptilian creatures. This female Tarantula is going on nearly 10 years of age, whilst it’s male counterpart will only live for around 5 years. Stay Snake Safe. #aussietarantula #spidersofaustralia #spiderfang #hairyspider
