09.01.2022 Fantastic article! Thank you Moreton Daily. We are very proud of our facility, and the opportunity for growth, and development for our current, and future members.

07.01.2022 On Saturday I attended the official opening of Caboolture Cricket Development Centre in Morayfield. It was good to see all levels of government, including the M...oreton Bay Regional Council and State Government join with the Federal Government to contribute to this project - along with Cricket Australia and the Caboolture Sports Club. Local cricketers will have access to a brand new indoor 5-pitch training centre which will become a beacon for cricketers right across the region. The nearest similar facility is about 50km away. And the nets are retractable too, which means groups can use the space, like for bocce, indoor bowls, dance classes and so on. Any investment that encourages participation in sport in our local community is an investment that is worth making.

06.01.2022 *Appreciation Post* Thank you to Tony Clarke, Sports Manager for Caboolture Sports Club, who applied for, and was successful for obtaining the grant for the 50 solar panels for the Indoor Development Centre. The installation of the solar panels will commence soon.

We welcomed Maroochydore, Caloundra and Glasshouse to the club. ... Game 1: Caboolture V Glasshouse Caboolture win the toss and elect to bowl. Glasshouse off to a steady start before Zac Clark gets the first wicket of the season. Glasshouse press on and wickets fall at a steady rate. Glasshouse finish 20 overs at 5/123. Caboolture went into bat, early wickets for glasshouse meant it was always going to be a hard chase. Wickets fell at a rate and the runs proved too much. Caboolture finish 9/69 off 20 overs. Glasshouse wins. Game 2: Caboolture V Maroochydore Maroochydore win the toss and elect to bat. Early and steady wickets meant the snakes were on top early. They continued the momentum through the bowling innings and put in a great fielding effort. Maroochydore all out for 80. Great start to the batting innings and the snakes were sitting comfortable. Looking for the first win of the season, the wickets tumbled as they closed in on the target. The 10th wicket fell with the scores level and the game went into a super over. Caboolture only managed 2 runs from their 6 balls. An early wicket in the bowling over and it was game on. Ultimately falling short with Maroochydore coming out on top. Maroochydore wins.
