25.01.2022 We took the kids to the park this Mothers Day afternoon as the autumn sun was glorious! But I was saddened to see rubbish strewn all over the place from a childs birthday party. Its Mothers Day. What legacy, as mothers, are we leaving for our kids if we dont get our kids to pick up their rubbish? Leaving it in the environment, to be blown away, to be eaten by a native animal, to kill a native animal. Its not good enough. This isnt the best photo but I took it with my iPhone in the wind and I had just made my husband stop the car and caravan on the side of the road just so I could take a photo I have a very patient husband. Sometimes! It is so amazing that something so delicate can emerge from such a harsh environment. 15.01.2022 Love. Play. Grow. People often ask me why I dont do more vinyl labels for water bottles, wedding coat hangers etc etc. Personalised items seem to be everywhere. Why not make money from that? Why dont I?? A few reasons. 1. The amount of vinyl and wasted backing paper you go through when weeding is incredible. I choose not to mass produce vinyl personalised items because of the level of waste.... 2. Some of the personalised items that are on trend are single use only. Ie wedding personalised items. I choose not to take part in increasing single use items. I do some vinyl work but it is for items that will last. 3. I choose to set myself apart and have my little business based on my love play grow philosophy. 14.01.2022 Im not one for sharing too much family stuff, even on my personal pages, but we are currently on holidays taking the kids to enjoy this great State of Western Australia. The Shark Bay and Ningaloo World Heritage Areas. We are truly blessed to have these at our door step. Its great getting the kids into nature and learning to appreciate the land we have borrowed. At times though I havent been the parent I want to be. Camping and traveling with kids can be stressful and o...verwhelming, for everyone. 14.01.2022 Yesterday the girls and I delivered some home grown veggies and herbs to our neighbours. We had great fun pulling out the carrots, collecting them up, washing and cutting off the stems, bundling them up, knocking on peoples and handing them out, talking to new people. We each had our jobs and worked together as a team. It was great to see the girls learn new skills. My six year old was using a grown up knife to cut the stems and my four year old was super brave and knock...ed on doors.
