14.01.2022 This year at Snap Fitness Canterbury we have decided to give back and support the Sydney Children’s Hospital this Christmas season. .. 2020 has been a tough year for all but it is important to recognise and give back to those who’s Christmas may not be as bright .. 05.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS .. In 2020 as I approached 40 , I decided to challenge myself by taking my fitness to a much higher level. The upcoming ANB competition was a perfect choice . My aim initially was to compete in season A. Due to Covid the show was deferred and with no access to a gym during lockdown I had to keep up my fitness with a home gym consisting of some bands and weights.... I joined Snap Fitness in June and started the 16 week competition preparation. Things took a drastic turn with the passing of my Father 7 weeks from the start of the competition. This had such a massive effect on me emotionally and I found strength in keeping focused on my training. My coach Danny Schneider and I were required to make major adjustments to my diet and after two weeks we were back on track kicking goals. I competed in the men’s fitness model category in the novice , open and over 35 divisions and placed third in the over 35’s. With our determination , motivation and a lot of focus on the end goal we conquered this challenge. It also proves to all that no matter what life throws at you , if you focus , your mind is stronger than you will ever know.- Mahesh See more
