23.01.2022 This year, the money raised from the event, which will again be held at Freshwater Surf Life Saving Club, will go towards Surf Life Saving School Special Needs Programs, the Surf Life Saving School has run these programs free of charge as a result of sponsorship which in the past have covered the staff costs. Unfortunately, we have lost our major sponsor and we are hoping to raise enough money to continue running these programs free of charge. These programs are a unique way... for children with special needs to enjoy the beach an opportunity which is not always available for them. The Emirates Melbourne Cup is world renowned for its flair and glamour, if you cant make it to the race, but your looking for a great afternoon then what better place to celebrate the nations greatest horse race, than overlooking the beach at beautiful Freshwater on Sydneys Northern Beaches.
