23.01.2022 Its only February and 5 cm of snow has fallen at Perisher Valley. Have you booked your 2017 snow trip? Do you usually hire a car and have it sit in the car park all week? 22.01.2022 This week Snow Alliance's only female driver, Melinda, has been driving a group of intrepid female trekkers around our beautiful Snowy Mountains Region, for a series of walks, as part of Girls Trek. There is still alot of snow around for them. Most are from the warmer northern states but they are enjoying the cool for a break. 21.01.2022 The snow is here - these images were taken at Perisher this past weekend. There were some truly mesmerising snow falls while we were up there and it is good to see the season starting off so well this year. As a result, we are starting to book out in the peak months of July and August so please don't delay should you wish to travel with us this year.

12.01.2022 It is always so beautiful when it snows! We've had a great early start to the snow season. It has been snowing all day today, even at the lower elevations. Here is a picture of our 28 seater Higer Munro in this afternoons blizzard out at Rocky Plains (only ~1100m) - the last stop on our school bus run today. We have been driving this route for over 13 years in all conditions and never once had an accident - not even a kangaroo hit. You can be assured that your family is always in safe hands with Snow Alliance. No amount of training can beat the hands on experience that our drivers have. There has been so much snow that Perisher is going to open early - on Friday 31st May, just two days away. They have had 60cm already with more to come.

08.01.2022 An unexpected snow storm yesterday saw snow falling all the way to Canberra and unfortunately mayhem at our local airport. Today there are blue skies at Thredbo and Perisher again and the snow is perfect. If you are thinking about coming to the snow this September, now is definately the time to book. 08.01.2022 Did you know we are the only transport operator in the Snowy Mountains Region that sends their drivers on courses to develop their driving skills? We recently sent all our drivers on a defensive driving program which incorporates both skill development and driver knowledge. This helps our drivers to develop a pro-active approach to driving and realistic skill development that is highly applicable in our line of work. Our drivers have received tuition on risk analysis, road la...w, vehicle technology, defensive driving techniques, legal obligations, braking systems and braking techniques. They have performed emergency braking exercises which gives them a real grasp on their own reaction times and distances. They have also received practical driving skills on a purpose built skid pan. Learning reasons why cars tend to understeer or oversteer and most importantly, how to correct in real time. These are all practical skills which means our drivers can react quickly and with knowledge in the event of any situation. Rest assured, even after 10 years in business, we have never had an accident in the snow and ice. Our drivers drive with confidence knowing that they have an active and applicable skill set for driving in the snow and ice. Our drivers will continually be trained with more advanced techniques. This is not a one off situation, it is part of our driver development program.

07.01.2022 With major changes to the NSW transport legislation, it is important to get to know who you will be traveling with to the snow this year and ensure that they have all the neccessary accreditations to ensure your safety. Many travellers do not realize that parts of the NSW transport industry have become self regulated with the onus on the transport provider to ensure he is complying with all recommended rules and regulations.
