16.01.2022 Well it definitely was a wintry day last Friday in Warragul! Despite a little bit of rain around, we had record crowds of happy people enjoying Snowfest Gippsland and that meant everything to us! Thank you to all of you for making the day so special, particularly for all the young kids who had smiles plastered on all afternoon. We hope you enjoy watching this video, you can get a sense of the scale and of how many wonderful people were involved in making this happen. If you w...ere there, if you had a stall or some part in the festivities, we'd absolutely love to see your photos so please share them with us. Thanks for your support and we will see you all next year! Video: Gippsland Video

09.01.2022 So many gorgeous photos popping up from the Clark Next RE Pics & Props Photo Booth on Friday night. We'd love to see more! Pop yours in the comments or send them in to us here. We tried to get a decent photo of the Clark Next RE team but they were spread out all over Snowfest Gippsland. This one we've pinched from their Facebook Page will have to do. Pete and his team including Daisy and Kellie have been instrumental each year with getting Snowfest organised with major roles ...on the committee and major roles on the night. We'd like to say a big thank you! It's not easy giving up your time and the time of your much needed team members to something like this. We are sure you'll agree it was a big win for the community last week. Please send some love to the Clarks team. Thanks for sharing your photobooth pics Melissa Noonan (attached) they are gorgeous!

06.01.2022 Well Anyone who was standing out in the rain on Friday night while we tried to draw a winner for out Mt Baw Baw comp will be glad to know that one of the names we called did come forward and we have a winner of the grand prize and it’s Melissa Orgill so a big congratulations to Melissa and her family! Thanks for your patience everyone, the committee has, as you can imagine, had a bit of a break this weekend after a massive few months of organising. We realise that the compe...tition draw didn't go as planned and it was a bit stressful for everyone involved so if you could just go easy that would be much appreciated. We have also drawn the winners of the Gumbaya World passes as we still had two left to give away and those two lucky people are Peta Fairbrother and Chris Chetland. Thanks so much Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort and Gumbuya World for your generous donation of prizes. We hope the winners have a great time.

01.01.2022 Thanks everyone for your feedback and comments about Snowfest Gippsland. Every year we take it all on board and use your thoughts to help shape the next year's event. One bit of feedback that pops up every year is the quality of the snow we bring down. The simple answer to all your questions and comments is that we can’t just go and take snow directly from the slopes on the day of the event. The team at Mt Baw Baw have generously donated their time to stockpile snow into a l...ocation that is accessible to our big trucks and other heavy machinery. Plowing the snow and then putting it into the trucks inevitably brings dirt and sticks from the surrounding environment. There’s no way around it. However. If you have come along to a Snowfest you will see that a little bit of dirt doesn’t affect the enjoyment of the kids playing on it. Everyone has such a great time. This is an event that is put together by a large volunteer committee made up of local business owners and individuals. It’s not Council run, though we are grateful to the Shire for contributing every year. We are also humbled and grateful for the sponsorship in dollars and in-kind that is put towards this event, again by many local businesses and individuals. If it’s not your thing and you just don’t ‘get’ Snowfest, we understand but we are going to keep holding it while we can because we see first hand the absolute joy on all your faces and that makes everything worthwhile. Thanks for your support!
