24.01.2022 Big day today with Ann Cox clearing out solid hardwood beams from the 1930's. They were lining a section of floor to keep stock high and dry. Some will be used in the garden, some for future construction. Now more floors pace for the wine bar/movie house.... thanks Ann, I could not have done that alone, we used trolleys and nouse to move those beams.... 21.01.2022 A man came to Orbost the other day to find the Snowy River Historic Bakery because he has the same Small & Shattell wood fired Scotch oven in a building in Yarrum. I look forward to seeing it next time I head to Melbourne. Found me on fb!

12.01.2022 Renovations are now FINISHED, how does everything take so long? Kitchen is new/upcycled and lovely.

09.01.2022 Loving getting to work hands on the tools! Cedar french doors & heritage screen door getting a make over ready to go upstairs into the old flour room/new bedroom. All recycled and upcycled ingredients of course!

07.01.2022 The new kitchen coming together, bought it used as I felt that this lovely heritage building deserves timber, the big island bench will come handy when foodie workshops and get togethers commence this summer holidays 2020-21. Loving foraging on the banks of the Snowy river

02.01.2022 The new floor is in upstairs and the view is visible, some brave friends tackled the ladder to get up there to celebrate the floor. Waiting on the spiral staircase additions, due soon. Plumbing done for ensuite so we're on time to be ready for the Summer holidays. Now is a good time to book the Bed & breakfast for family and friends for the Summer holidays, before the rush. 01.01.2022 Have been busy putting in a new (upcycled) kitchen ready for woodfired dinners and bread making workshops in front of the oven. i have been food foraging and enjoying cooking up the local nutritious weeds into yummy healthy food. I hope to share this unique space and food skills when we can get a few people together.
