25.01.2022 3 - 24c, not uncommon to have a 20 degree diurnal variation in summer. Low humidity & temps make for comfortable sleeping weather.

25.01.2022 Ace Kvale took this pic on a fine day's heliskiing in the Caucasus Mtns in Russia. I was in Verbier for the season with Nolen Oayda & he connected me with the godfathers of extreme skiing...very privileged! We went on a media production gig with Clambin Productions, to the Mt Elbrus region; skiing, climbing, heliskiing. These guys were a huge inspiration on my early ski touring days. This shot was in the POWDER Photo Annual 1993 or 94? Thanks Nolen.

02.01.2022 There is about 3 ways I use to remove my skins. This the moderately windy method. When it's real windy I keep the ski layed down on the snow surface & fold them back in three stages so there is less unsupported skin flapping about.
