08.01.2022 Snowy Mountains Dog Minding is located 10km from Jindabyne, on the road to Thredbo. We offer overnight boarding and may offer some limited day care, depending upon availability. Only a very few dogs (usually 1 2) are taken at any one time. ... Your dog will be housed in a private, dedicated dog room which is heated as required, with doggie-door access to a wooden deck and grassed run. Dogs from the same household are accommodated together. Regular visitors may share accommodation with another dog if we know both the dogs well and are sure that they will share amicably; new visiting dogs do not share accommodation. Depending on the breed, size, and personality of your dog, they may be carefully introduced to the resident dogs and/or other visiting dogs. This is done in a controlled manner, one on one. If the dogs socialize well together your dog will have garden and possibly house playtime with the pack. For more timid dogs, or dogs who would rather be with people than other dogs, on-lead paddock walks are scheduled. Before your dog arrives we like to know a little about its socialization experience and skills, how it interacts with other dogs etc, so we can plan for its stay. Cost One dog: $40 per 24 hour period or part thereof Two dogs from the same household: $70 per24 hour period or part thereof Three dogs from the same household: $95 per 24 hour period or part thereof Making a Booking Send us a message detailing your requirements, including your dog’s details, your dates, and whether you wish overnight boarding or day care. Following your request, if we have availability, you will be emailed a Dog Minding Agreement. To confirm your booking this should be filled in and returned, along with proof of the current vaccination status of your dog. During peak periods a 50% deposit paid by direct deposit is additionally required for booking confirmation: this is non-refundable in the event of your cancellation. What to Bring with your Dog/s - Your dog’s food: sufficient to cover the duration of their stay - You may like to bring their favourite bed or blanket (although if exploding beds are common around your dog, we cannot guarantee its safe return!): ample bedding is available - A crate, if your dog is used to being crated and regards this is its safe place - In winter, if your dog may feel the cold, a jacket may be beneficial. We do have some jackets/jumpers in various sizes in the event you do not have any On Arrival When arriving at Snowy Mountains Dog Minding please leave your dog in the car until you are asked to fetch them out. Although well-used to visitors, the resident dogs have free range of the house and garden, and will always alert to new arrivals: having several dogs barking through a fence can be intimidating to new visitors, and does not allow for the planned, controlled introductions which are managed once your dog has settled in.
