19.01.2022 This is the Western Fall of the Snowy Mountains Main Range with Hannels Ridge to the left. I took this yesterday from Scammells Spur Lookout on the Alpine Way about 20 kms from Khancoban. I liked the ridge lines of Mountain Ash trees which defined the tops of the ridges. I waited until the sun was almost gone hoping for color and good light. I call this one 'Mountain Light' Best viewed full size

16.01.2022 Just back this evening from a great expedition to Broken Hill and Silverton with a little look at Lake Cargelligo on the way home. The Milky Way season is just about over in Australia but we managed to get a couple of nice Astro photographs whilst wandering around Silverton at night, scaring the donkeys and the camels. Here is one of the old cottage ruins under the night sky.
