23.01.2022 As you are aware, the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has been causing concern throughout the community and has led to the recent closure of schools and public events, and thus the ScoutHike management team has made the decision to Cancel ScoutHike 2020. The ScoutHike 2020 and Scouts NSW teams have been monitoring information provided by government authorities including the Federal and State Departments of Health to monitor the situation and plan for any health, safety... and welfare risks, and make appropriate decisions. Scouts NSW takes the health and safety of our members at Scouting events very seriously. On 12 March 2020 the Scouts NSW Coronavirus team relayed to the ScoutHike 2020 organisers the risks and possible adverse outcomes associated with holding a large event. Taking into consideration the information received from the Scouts NSW, the ScoutHike 2020 management team has decided to cancel ScoutHike for this year. Everyone who has paid will be contacted and a full refund given.

19.01.2022 From our Youth Program, through to the training we provide each Leader and adult who chooses to become part of the Scouting community, we want to give our young... people a safe, inclusive space where they can thrive and be comfortable just being themselves. Building a strong youth safe culture is a team effort and we all have a role to play. If we see, hear or are told about something that isn’t in line with our Promise and Law (or our Code of Conduct for adults), we should LOG it even when in doubt. 07.01.2022 Katelyn from 1st Asquith Scouts is on her way to achieving her Australian Scout Medallion. As part of her ASM, Katelyn has created a limited edition collectible... badge, with proceeds put towards giving gifts to frontline health heroes at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. Katelyn has led all aspects of her Leadership Activity, from concept and design, to liaising with the manufacturing company and doing a cost analysis.
