01.01.2022 Summer Tips Remember that your plants can get stressed too! Common symptoms of heat stress in plants is wilting and leaf drop , which is a sure sign that water loss is taking place! And many vegetable crops will have trouble producing when stressed! Try these handy tips : 1 Plants , flowers & vegies will benefit from deep watering either before 10am or after 4pm (avoid watering after sunset).... 2 Move potted plants to a shadier location out of the hot afternoon sun, in extreme temperatures potted plants may need to be watered twice a day. 3 If possible, use shade covers (especially over vegies) and remember mulching will help conserve moisture and keep plants cooler!
