16.01.2022 The Southern N.S.W. Quarter Horse Association February Show 2020 Hi, Friends, Fans, Supporters & Followers ... Wow what a Day we all had at The Southern N.S.W. Quarter Horse Association February Show held at the beautiful Sutton Farm Equestrian Centre indoor arena yesterday Sunday the 9th of February 2020. The organising committee must have used their magic crystal ball when choosing to hold this Event at the Sutton Farm Equestrian Centre indoor arena because it bucketed down... rain outside all day long ... Everyone had a great day and plenty of friends, family and spectators on hand to cheer and applaud the competitors as they competed to have their names added into the Associations February Show Records in this prestiges breed of Horse on show. I myself thoroughly enjoyed capturing the memories and I made some new furry friends throughout the day sharing some of my Liquorice Twists with them as they continued to KEEP SMILING 4 ME all day long throughout the Show. The image I chose to represent the Show is a image of one of the youth competitors along with her furry friend as I watched them together I could see the special bond they shared with each other and I couldn't resist capturing the young ladies infectious smile while she waited their turn to compete in the official arena even in the judging these two worked together razzling and dazzling the judges with their showmanship performance. Thank you to all the members for having me at your Event and I will look forward to future events so until next we meet you all remember my Business Motto: KEEP SMILING 4 ME Ian Vaughan Photography. 14.01.2022 Coronavirus COVID-19 Update Q20 National Show Dear Members, ... It is with great disappointment that we advise our Members that we have POSTPONED our Q20 National Show. We are currently in negotiation with AELEC management to confirm future possible dates and will advise members of new dates as soon as possible. The AQHA Board and management have agreed to follow advice from Government Heath Authorities in order to ensure the protection of the health and wellbeing of our Members, staff, volunteers and stakeholders such as sponsors, traders and suppliers. This decision was not taken lightly and we hope all Members support and understand our decision. All entries will be fully refunded and we ask for your patience while this process occurs. Should you require any further information, please call our office on 02 67626444 or email: [email protected]

12.01.2022 VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT Dear Members and competitors, We regretfully have to inform you all that the NPHA committee has decided not to run a 2020 ...Celebration Show. There are a few reasons for this and we have not come to this decision very lightly. 1. Confirming rescheduled dates As SIEC has yet to reschedule our dates due to Covid19 and are not taking or rescheduling any bookings, the committee feels this a massive hurdle when trying to organise a show. They have told us that they cant see the facility reopening in the near future and if they were to reopen and rebook everyone, they would hate to tell us they have to cancel again due to imposed restrictions. SIEC is owned and run by the NSW Government, so Sue and her team are under very strict instructions and sue personally doesnt want to let any of us down by having to cancel an event. The NPHA committee fully understand the situation this facility is in and support their decision not to reschedule us until they know everything is going to be ok. 2. If we get dates, where to fit it in. If we were to get new dates for the second half of the year, where would we fit it in? With the AQHA extending this year to October after the Nationals, as the NPHA committee want to take advantage of this, we need to hold the show before the QH Nationals and the few months leading up to this are already quite full with a lot shows. If SIEC can reopen and reschedule our show, Sue has told us towards the end of September, which the QLD state show has already been rescheduled to those dates, so we have to rule that out. No other dates are available in 2020. Also the extended year only applies to the AQHA (at this present time) not the AAA or the PHAA, so those Members and competitors are at a disadvantage. If we run after the AQHA Nationals, we are all then competing in the correct age groups ect...... and our 2021 show , which we plan to run in May 2021, will essentially suffer financially. We would be running 2 shows in the same show year and a show of this scale could not sustain that, nor could we expect our members, competitors and amazing sponsors to have to do this. The uncertainty of flying over our international judges is a big issue as well. This has been an extremely hard decision for the committee to decide as all of us have horses and just want to go show like the rest of you, but we do believe this is the best decision mentally and financially to keep the association going. The 2021 NPHA Celebration Show will be bigger and better than ever! We have 12 months to plan and to ensure its totally worth the wait. The fundraiser raffle will be carried over to the 2021 show or until 1000 tickets are sold. All proceeds that are raised from this goes directly back into running the show. Also any sponsors that have already committed to the 2020 show, will be automatically rolled over to the 2021 show as well as any 2019/2020 memberships that had been paid before April 30th will be rolled over too. We know some may not like this news but we do hope you all understand that this decision has been made with everyone in mind and the committee members are already working on the 2021 show to ensure its the best yet! If anyone has any concerns or questions, please contact the committee via this page or a DM. Thank you again for your understanding, Nicole Wilson & the Committee

01.01.2022 Despite our very best efforts to continue with planning for our show, we are saddened to announce the cancellation of the POR and State Show to be held at K Ran...ch in October. Due to the current COVID-19 outbreaks and the evolving situation, it is not possible to predict what will happen in the coming months and we must make the health and safety of our members and workers top priority. Our Association is not in a position to financially make errors and as per PHAA rules, we are unable to hold a State Show if any borders are closed. We are in the process of planning other events and looking for alternative dates to hold our show and will keep you updated.
