There were moments of glory this winter with some beautiful snowfalls but it was also sad that so many familiar faces couldn’t get here to enjoy all that we love about winter in Australia. 02.01.2022 SHE SMILED AT THE STARS LIKE THEY KNEW ALL HER SECRETS Recently we heard of the passing of one of our lovely customers. We met her a few years ago in Thredbo when she called and asked about the UV rating of our swimsuits, as she was going through chemo and needed to ensure she had 100% protection from the sun. She said she didn’t have long to live and she wanted to make the most of every minute in the great outdoors and live life to the fullest. She ended up loving her s...wimsuit so much that she started buying our leggings, tshirts and knits. Before we knew it she had a full wardrobe of our collection. Her lovely husband would laugh and tell her how fabulous she looked and she would say that she knew she was naughty buying clothes as she didnt have long to live, but our tshirts always made her feel good. She was such a great ambassador for our brand and we loved her carefree nature and wild spirit. We would talk to her for hours about life and mortality, she was so open about her illness and we looked forward to her visits to our ski resort. Sometimes months would go by and then she would just appear and we would drink endless teas and solve the problems of the world. She was so complimentary and she would tell us how much she admired our creativity, which of course we thought was crazy, as what we admired in her was far more important than creativity. Irene you were the epitome of everything we admire in women. You were kind, funny, vulnerable, generous, sincere, adventurous and so very brave. You really did live your final years to the fullest and we were the lucky ones to have met you. Thank you for showing us the true meaning of bravery and confronting fear with grace and humility. Irene you are now shining high above us and we will think of your beautiful smile when we wish upon a star May your soul rest in Peace, thank you for touching our hearts See more
