22.01.2022 This, this brings me joy. Was also good to froth on other peoples excitement of a good solid Shorey again. Groms into it, after work swimmers attempting to time their entry, and a couple of legends just flat out giggling like school girls with every set that came through. Doesn't matter your background, your reason why, or how you show it, a breaking wave just hits different, and it makes people feel the same. Its nice. @ Bronte Beach

18.01.2022 I took my favourite ever image last week. Any guesses which? I jumped behind the camera to capture Saima & Dan Miller' s new Airbnb in Pacific Palms last week and im still left in awe about the joint. Had Ali on the tools styling and Juke doing his best to walk through each frame as I hit the shutter. Ill put together a blog post in the next few days with some stories and more detail, but for now, there's the Airbnb link: https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/46145843 , as a bonu...s, the first 3 bookings get 20% off. Not an Ad, just a mate helping a mate. Mention myself and Andrew Fox on a shovel "helping" upon arrival to see Dan laugh.. @ Kookie Hill Retreat

17.01.2022 Live chat with Nedd Brockman, about 50 marathons in 50 days, 200 laps of the 440 and mental strength.

14.01.2022 I ramble a bit in my captions. Today will be no different. Photography has always been a form of escape, yet at the same time a tool to connect. The inside of a wave, was essentially my favourite. It was quiet, calm and chaotic all at once. On a busy day on Bondi Beach, you were alone in seconds, for a second. ... I became focused on clarity, water drops on the lens port, wind direction, the amount of sand I was kicking up, sun direction, people in the shots, backgrounds and at times become frustrated with results. I'd forgotten the 45 minute drive we used to do after school when we got our Ps for a quick glimpse. Chanting rip boy at a mate who ventured off the edge of the sandbar. The thrill of seeing a long way down the line briefly before being thrown to the bottom smiling. Yesterday it all come back, for the first time in a long time while holding a housing. The excitement of picking the first or second wave of the set, the thrill of deciding to go under or over a wave. The brief glimpse of the inside of a wave that stays burnt in the memory long after the sand has left your board shorts. The appreciation. Nothing like a moment of stoke, in a place or moment that had been replaced by thoughts and pressure to capture something that people look at when they're having a crap or dodging work. Hope this grom had the same thoughts.
