22.01.2022 Welcome to our newest Collegians - the Class of 2020!
22.01.2022 Our 2017 basketball players definitely showed they haven’t lost any of their form when they participated in a practice match against the current Scotch Oakburn Senior Firsts Team last night! The boys joined with other current players to match up against the Firsts to assist with preparation for their State Final on the 23rd. Thanks so much to our 2017 Collegians - most appreciated. The game was fiercely contended by both teams and despite the Firsts boys being up by 9 points in the latter half of the game, the Collegians fought their way back and it went down to the wire.
19.01.2022 Our Principal, Andy Muller wants to share with you videos that outline the strategic drivers of our 15-year strategic plan, Vision 2035. The four Strands Learning, Wellbeing, Community and Capacity will underpin our thought process and decision making as we lay the foundations for the next 15 years at Scotch Oakburn College. Collaboration has been and will remain, essential as the strategic plan evolves. As a member of our community, your voice is valued, important and critical to further refine this strategic plan.

16.01.2022 We had the best day on Friday! We travelled to Hobart to meet our oldest Collegian, Brian Winspear AM ('38) who is 100 next month! Veronica Macno, our College Archivist & Nicole Willcox shared cups of tea & lunch with Brian and heard some great stories about his time at Scotch College. He reflected on his time at school and believes that Scotch "sowed the seeds for his future life." Brian left school in 1938, went on to work at Repco in Launceston, joined the RAAF in 1939 and after the war returned to Bicheno, where he had various businesses. He then went on to form the Innkeepers Tasmania group.
15.01.2022 After living in locations around Australia and across the globe, Scotch Oakburn College parents Bede Clifton, Phil Cooper & Will McLoughlin and current parent and Collegian Craig Richman ('85) have teamed together to use their skill, creativity and stories to form Live Launceston, a platform to capture families tired of big city living.
15.01.2022 Congratulations to Gabe Hadley ('16) on his selection in the USA UC San Diego basketball team. Congratulations to Gabe and all the other Tasmanians selected! We look forward to following Gabe's basketball journey.
15.01.2022 Many in our community will remember Hannah ('15), her amazing spirit and determination. Year 12 student Chloe McCann has been working with the Goddard family and Australian Red Cross Lifeblood and has organised that all blood donations made under the Scotch Oakburn team banner in Term 3 will also count towards the Shine a Light for Hannah drive total. Donate blood and join the Scotch Oakburn College donation team.

11.01.2022 According to this article in The Examiner Newspaper, Launceston one teacher helped inspire generations of Launceston students. That teacher was our very own Scotch Oakburn College Collegian Miss Mary Fox (Methodist Ladies' College, 1893).

07.01.2022 Any basketball fans out there? Perhaps some Scotch Oakburn College Collegian grandparents or family who might be keen to watch this game ...
07.01.2022 We were honoured to join one of our oldest Methodist Ladies' College Collegians for morning tea. Helen Greene (MLC '41) shared with us some wonderful stories about her time at MLC and the firm friendships she made (and still holds dear today). To make it even more special Bronte (Year 5 student and boarder) learnt to make a delicious chocolate slice with College Chef, Andrew Richardson ('91) which we shared with Helen!
