23.01.2022 Congratulations to Jy Farrar on making his AFL debut today for the Gold Coast Suns. Jy is both a past player for the SOCFC and our best and fairest winner for 2019. We wish you all the best today Jy and you deserve every bit of success coming your way. So make sure to switch on your TVs and tune into the game which is being played at Adelaide Oval against Hawthorn.

22.01.2022 Round 5 saw us travel down to the Henley Football Club after unforeseen circumstances saw us lose a home game. So many thanks to Henley for being so accommodating and for hosting us on the weekend. Unfortunately we did not get the results that we were after with all three sides going down to Henley. However, it was great to see the C-Grade have a 25 man squad and to have two debutants in the A-Grade. It was also especially pleasing for the Club to have had 19 Old Collegians ...play for our A-Grade on Saturday and a great many more in the Cs and Bs. We also fielded 14 players under the age of 23. A-Grade: Henley FC: 27.1-173 Scotch OC: 4.12-36 Goal Kickers: D. King, M. Campbell, S. Spriggs, J. King Best Players: S. Spriggs, J. Langford, C. Morgan, A. Twopeny, J. Scott B-Grade: Henley FC: 16.12-108 Scotch OC: 4.2-26 Goal Kickers: B. Phillips, J. Thomas-Nehmy, N. Heaslip, N. Anstey Best Players: N. Anstey, N. Heaslip, T. Isaksson, M. Pederick, M. Segat C-Grade: Henley FC: 12.13-85 Scotch OC: 3.8-26 Goal Kickers: H. Eden, J. Deuter-Wellington, S. Brookes Best Players: M. Box, B. Swart, C. Edwards, H. Eden, H. Vandenberg This weekend we take on Seaton at Pedlar Reserve and we hope to see you there.

12.01.2022 A great result on Saturday coming away with two strong wins against Glenunga. Our A-Grade game started off with bang with two fast goals from Simon Wong and dominant displays from big man Warrick McGinty and Peter Rolfe who finished the game with 4 goals and 3 goals each respectively. Harry Jolly, Scott Spriggs and Matt Campbell were all once again prolific and Louis Heard came into the A-Grade and played a solid game. In the B-Grade Tom MacKenzie put in a mammoth performanc...e and finished with 6 goals, whilst Rigby Barnes played his first game for the club and starred with 5 goals in what could be described as a promising performance from our Bulla. Matt Pafumi and Tom Swart also continued their hot form with both pushing for selection in the As. This weekend we take on third placed Sacred Heart at Sacred Heart for what will hopefully be an entertaining day for all and we hope to see you there. A-Grade: Goal Kickers: W. McGinty 4, P. Rolfe 3, S. King 2, J. Young 2, J. Scott, T. Fuss, R. Ah Chee, H. Laycock, J. King, S. Wong, S. Spriggs Best Players: W. McGinty, P. Rolfe, H. Jolly, M. Campbell, M. Marslen B-Grade: Goal Kickers: T. MacKenzie 6, R. Barnes 5, A. Camens 3, G. Treloar, M. Jentsch, M. Pederick, O. Wight Best Players: M. Pafumi, T. MacKenzie, T. Swart, A. Camens, L. Francis, M. Segat

11.01.2022 Unfortunately, we didn't quite get the result that we were after this weekend with all three grades losing to the Broadview Football Club. However, Saturday marked a very important date for both one of our greatest contributors and to the club here at Scotch. Our game against Broadview saw Sam ‘ Silver’ Nicholls play his 250th game for the club at the age of 43 and he is only the 15th player in our clubs history to do so. After winning the College’s First XVIII Best & Faire...Continue reading

11.01.2022 We didn’t quite capture the results we were after on the weekend with all three sides going down to Sacred Heart. However, this Saturday presents itself as must win games for the club against Tea Tree Gully as we play our last game at home for the normal season. This Saturday also represents our Past Players Day and 2020 Indigenous Round. SOCFC's 2020 Indigenous Round recognises and celebrates both past and present Indigenous players, peoples and communities around Australia ...and their culture. Specifically, our gratitude and adoration to all of our past and present Indigenous players who have helped to shape the club and college to be what they are today. The jerseys that will be worn on Saturday were designed by past SOCWFC player Rickelle Peris. The Coming Together as Warriors I wanted to create a design that represented my football club. A design that symbolises the unity of different people, from different places who have come together to form not just a football club, but a family. A family of warriors. The circles on the outside represent the different groups and individuals that have come to our club. The spears signify that we are warriors. The ‘U’ symbol represents the players who stand on the outside of the gathering circle as warriors because they fight for, and protect the family. The gathering circle represents the football club family and each of the individuals who have helped make this family to what it is today. Whether they were Scotch students who have come back as old collegians, players from other schools and other clubs, the parents and family members, the coaches, the trainers, runners, physios, supporters and partners. It represents each and every single person that is part of the Scotch Old Collegians Football Club family. - Rickelle Peris

10.01.2022 Saturday saw us travel to the Seaton Football Club and capture two convincing wins in our B and C Grade games. Strong performances from Jack Wellington who kicked four goals and Henry Vandenberg who gave our players first look at the ball from the ruck helped our C Grade team put in a very strong performance. The B Grade game saw Louis Heard continue on with his hot form and collect the U23 award as he continues to push for A Grade selection. In our A’s, Scott Spriggs, Ollie ...Heard and Warrick McGinty were all prominent again and look to carry their momentum into this week’s game. Our thanks to Seaton for hosting us. This weekend we take on Glenunga at home for our 2020 Ladies Day game and we hope to see you all there for what will hopefully be a great day out for all. Watch out for more information later this week. A Grade: SOCFC: 9.10-64 Seaton: 10.16-76 Goal Kickers: W. McGinty 2, P. Kokkinakis 2, T. Fuss, J. King, C. De Zylva, M. Marslen, and A. Twopeny. 10.01.2022 Hello Scotchies, Unfortunately due to the ongoing and developing situation in South Australia regarding COVID-19, and it's respective restrictions, we will be unable to host our ladies day in 2020 as planned. However, we as club promise to make up for it in 2021. That being said, we will still put on $5 drink specials for all women who still wish to attend our match against Glenunga on the weekend. If you do hopefully choose to come out we ask that they you abide by the rest...rictions put in place and remain seated if you plan on having a drink whilst watching the football from the sidelines. We would also like to express our gratitude and thanks for all of the support that we receive from all of the amazing women that surround the club and for their ongoing support not only in 2020 but since the clubs induction into the league back in 1929. So we hope to see you on the weekend and look forward to seeing you all out at Ladies Day in 2021.

03.01.2022 Dear Scotchies, We find ourselves at this time of the year again where we say goodbye to the regular season and begin to shift our focus ahead to the next. As a club, there are many organisations and individuals we need to sincerely thank.
