11.01.2022 Feelings and emotions are meant to be felt. Cultivate this practice: When you have a feeling in the moment pause, feel the feeling deeply, acknowledge it, name ...the feeling, talk to it and begin to understand what's happening for you. Naming a feeling, instead of pushing it down, pretending like it isn't there, or minimizing it, is the biggest step to understanding the feeling and releasing it from your body. Real growth begins when you stop thinking that you can "out run" your feelings. If you persist in ignoring a feeling it will eventually come out sideways somewhere else in your life for example; road rage, verbal abuse to a loved one, yelling at the salesperson in a store, addiction, or anxiety, to name a few.
