GU Film House Cronulla, as part of the Social Inclusion Week event Ability Links Sutherland Shire is host...ing ,will be showing a FREE captioned movie called "Wonder". Wonder is a beautiful film, staring Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson and is all about kindness and inclusion. Today Jonathon was live from his lounge room on Channel 1...0's ''Studio 10' talking about his new single GRATEFUL that he wrote with Dave Newington. Jonathon spoke about why he wrote the song along with rehearing the Play It Forward Choirs online, Choir of Hard Knocks and about being the ambassador to St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. 04.01.2022 SOCIAL INCLUSION DURING ISOLATION Hi everyone, I just wanted to check in on you all and see how your'e doing during this strange and stressful time we are experiencing in the world.... In particular, to make sure you are all finding ways to stay socially connected when we are all having to stay physically distanced for goodness knows how long. My partner Matt, our boys and I started a new ritual in our street 3 weeks ago. At 6pm (it was 7pm during DST) every Sunday we bang our saucepans to get our neighbours to come out of their homes so we can check on each other and make sure everyone is OK or needs anything. Before we would just wave politely if we saw each other in the street and drive on, but since lockdown we’ve got to really know and care for everyone around us. It reminded me of my childhood when everyone knew their neighbours and all the kids in the street and really looked out for one another. This is the very premise on which I created Social Inclusion Week and it is alive and well during isolation in our street! It is also one of the beautiful memories I know we will have for many years to come when we look back on COVID-19. THIS IS SO EASY TO DO - YOU CAN DO IT TOO IN YOUR STREET OR NEIGHBOURHOOD!
