14.01.2022 Join our online forum today at 2pm AEDT to discuss black lives matter and the struggle for indigenous rights in 2021!!

13.01.2022 "Streets across the country were filled with ‘Cosmonauts’ police dressed in riot gear ready to lay into the protests. Police violence was widespread. At the time of writing over 3,000 arrests have been made. This includes, according to the Trade Union of Journalists and Media Workers, over 50 journalists. In Saratov, a police vehicle speeding to deal with protesters collided with an ambulance, killing the patient inside. What was noticeable, in contrast to previous youth protests is that the demonstrators themselves not only resisted arrest but often went onto the offensive against police lines. One group of Cosmonauts in Moscow came under such a barrage of snowballs they had to run away. Later in the evening another group tried to storm a police station to release those who had been arrested."

08.01.2022 "While the Victorian Government has been praised for implementing lockdowns where others haven’t, the way they have gone about this has been to increase police powers and direct blame on ordinary people for system-wide failures." https://thesocialist.org.au/ombudsman-hard-lockdown-of-mel/

05.01.2022 "Violence against women is part of a system where gender roles are used to devalue women. The same ideas lie behind the oppression of LGBTIQ people, whose existence challenges traditional gender roles. We need to fight the devaluing of people’s lives. But a fight against sexist behavior brings people into direct conflict with the basic pressures of capitalist society." https://internationalsocialist.net///01/socialist-feminism

01.01.2022 "There were no representatives of trade unions, environmental campaigners, youth activists or any other organisations of progress, struggle or the working class involved in the negotiations. On the other hand corporate lobbyists have free access to the politicians and bureaucrats who drew up the agreement. https://thesocialist.org.au/rcep-worlds-biggest-anti-worke/
