24.01.2022 IT’S GAME DAY IN THE BAY! There’s still room to join a team so please comment below if you’d like to confirm a spot. DRAWS & FIELD LOCATION... The draw is completed and is on the website @ https://www.socialleague.com.au/current-comps.html EQUIPMENT We provide all the gear so just bring yourself and a good attitude. REGO Rego can be paid at the field but given it’s the first round I anticipate a little congestion. To avoid this and to make our lives easier prepayment can be made online @ https://www.socialleague.com.au/registration.html (scroll to the bottom) SAFETY The main issues around safety are collisions, particularly at 1st base and home plate. Remember on the basepaths the fielder has right of way, not the baserunner! TEAM UNIFORMS Team uniforms certainly aren't compulsory but if your team would like to buy some we’ll have custom made options available in a couple of weeks. DRINKS Carlton Dry’s, Great Northern’s, Bentspokes and Ciders are $5 each and water and softies are $2. If you’re up to it feel free to play the field with a drink in hand.

10.01.2022 BATEMANS BAY COMP UPDATE The Social League Baseball comp is on track to start Saturday 1st of August. That being said, if the COVID situation worsens we may have to postpone or even cancel the league. There’ll be changes to our game day operations to ensure we’re adhering to Government advice. This includes... To allow for physical distancing there’ll be 2 sets of bases at each field 4 The bases will be 4 metres apart... The white bases are for the fielders The orange bases are for the runners The umpires will explain with greater detail on game day Gloves, there’ll be enough at each field so you don’t have to share Card payments are preferred And if you’re feeling unwell stay at home If you’d like to join a team or find out more click on the below Facebook event https://facebook.com/events/s/social-league-baseball-in-the-/317432992609407/?ti=icl
