22.01.2022 Next time you think your post is a flop, remember this. If you 30 people came into your store, or called you up to hire your services, would you think that was a fail or a bad day? Probably not!... Never underestimate the power of social media. No matter how many likes, views, or comments you get, all it takes is for ONE person to get in touch with you. Does this change your perspective? Give me a like if it does
15.01.2022 Sharing about YOU on social media can feel a lil scary. And then there's always the question of how much to actually share?! To that, and any other questions you may have about opening up online, I say turn the PERSONALITY light switch ON and turn the VULNERABILITY dial UP ... I want to dive into these two categories a little more, and help answer any questions you may have: 1 PERSONALITY: think of this like a light switch. I want you to flick it ON so it can shine bright. Let people into your quirks, way of thinking, what makes ya tick, and what makes your business what it is. Doesn't have to be anything grand or fancy- in fact, the routine and the mundane is what makes you YOU, and your business how it is. 2 VULNERABILITY: think of this like a dial. I want you to turn it clockwise at least a lil bit, but you don't need it fully dialed to max capacity. Vulnerability is the bridge to connection, so it's important to open up to your audience at least a lil bit, but you are always in control of the amount. With your personality, I don't want you to hold back. YES some may judge or not like you...and? Who cares! They can go on their jolly way and you can keep doing you. With your vulnerability, I want you to push yourself out of your comfort zone a bit, but just enough so to test the waters and realise, "hey, it ain't so cold in here after all!" Have you thought of this distinction between personality and vulnerability before when it comes to sharing more about YOU on social media?! Tell me below!
03.01.2022 ENGAGE, ENGAGE, ENGAGE! I know you know this, and I know I say this a WHOLE lot, but if you want more engagement on posts, to build meaningful connections and have authentic conversations online, you gotta engage! To put in plain and simple: you have to give the engagement you wish to receive.... But when it comes to building your community on social, where the HECK do you begin? And who do you even start engaging with? Here's who: People who fit the brief of your 'ideal client'. Past, present and potential customers or clients. Existing followers of yours. Industry leaders and experts. Industry influenecrs and creators with aligned values and key messages. Similar but non-competing businesses. Businesses with complementary products/services in your industry. Although it would be freakin' amazing if your ideal clients and Instagram followers could fall into your lap and instantly discover you, it just doesn't work in that way I mean, it can happen, but you can't rely on that fact. Just like any other relationship you build, creating and developing genuine connections is a two way street. You actually have to MAKE THE EFFORT to nurture those relationships, and that means going out of your way to engage Are you currently taking the time to establish relationships and connect with peeps on the gram? Leave me a comment below and let me know your thoughts And SAVE this post to come back to!
01.01.2022 Facebook is changing the way you use Pages... And here's what you need to know The pro's of the new Pages experience include:... Switch easily between your personal account and your FB page. A private newsfeed dedicated for Pages, so that you can follow content relevant to your business. Blue tick verification will cross over to the new pages. Some con's, however, include: If you have Page likers that don't also follow your page, they won't be carried over to the new experience. So you may notice a drop in Facebook followers! Page roles are changing. This means Editors and Moderators will no longer be available. However you can still assign full permission or partial permission with the new experience. Some Publishing Tools will disappear - this one is a total bummer! (includes Pinned Posts, Scheduled Posts and Page Notes). However if you use Creator Studio, or a third party tool, you'll still be able to schedule with no problems. Some Classic Page features are going, but will hopefully be back soon, including Reviews, Jobs, Page Templates and Check-Ins. These updates are being rolled out across the next few months. What do you think about all of this? Does this turn you off using Facebook as a business? Let me know your thoughts below
