23.01.2022 Thank you Giving back always feels good The BNI Foundation Australia is helping to change lives by improving circumstances for children facing financial instability that negatively affect their educational opportunities.

21.01.2022 You'll never find a rainbow looking down Unless you're looking down into a plate like this. Any other time, keep looking up-that's the secret to life #positivityisthekey

20.01.2022 After a while, they can all seem the same. Instagram posts that is. While some educate us, others inspire us. Others.., quite simply, drain us [insert coffee here]... With an overload of information coming at us all day from every angle, we need to make sure that the messages we're sending through curated content is targeted to be seen + heard by all the right people. So how do we stand out and have an instant impact on our ideal audience? It all comes down to the 3 second rule. Stick to the *3 second rule* and give yourself the best chance to stop your fans in their tracks. Make your every post [and every second] count by following a few key steps Scroll stopping image. Perfect! You've made a good impression with your striking/relevant image. Your audience has stopped...your 3 seconds starts now! Dive right in and grab their attention with interesting, engaging content. Make it short + sharp. (If you're creating content to educate your fans, it might be an idea to post your content over a series of portion-controlled posts to make the information easier to digest) Leave a lasting impression in your final sentence with a clear CTA (call to action) and your audience will thank you for giving them more .. simples! #worksmarternotharder @peoplebrewcoffee

20.01.2022 Gratitude post Sending a huge thank you to the amazing friends + family we are so lucky to have. Thank you for the random acts of kindness, dropping in meals and treats, pharmacy runs, help with housework, making of beds, shopping & more.... For all the healing vibes, treatments and health advice. For the checking in on us girls. And for keeping Little Miss entertained + happy while I've been stuck inside with a bulging disc. To my clients who have been amazingly patient with me, legends! Even though the past couple of months have felt like forever [being so inactive makes time stand still] it's the best feeling knowing we have such an amazing support network around us. So many of these people I've met along the way through work, right here on this very platform. "We've got your back!" some might say here. But Im so over the back pain I don't think I can even do any back puns right now #sorrynotsorry From the both of us, thank you Image taken : months ago when I could actually walk+run

18.01.2022 So thankful schools have reopen! So many happy little faces everywhere. Our kids have been missing their friends, their teachers, and all the familiarity that comes within the school community.... Human connections, fun, laughter and friendships are ever so important to all of us. Us grownups also can't wait to reconnect with our local community and enjoy our local entertainment venues again. Working with the crew @titanictheatrerestaurant was always a laugh fest, each show so unique and memorable for all those aboard the fun ship. Our community is filled with so many local legends, I'm looking forward to working with and supporting our local community again real soon! #supportlocalbusiness

18.01.2022 How often do you turn your phone off? Do yourself and your brain a favour and turn that DND mode on.

17.01.2022 Dream clients Working with my dream clients gives me great satisfaction. It's never about the money. It's always about working with the right people and helping my client to connect deeply and consistently with their followers to establish a strong, trusting relationship with their target audience. To see my clients do well, that's the bottom line. It boils down to trust both ways.... Knowing my client's purpose, doing what's right for them and bringing it altogether with a strong Facebook message - this is the mutual goal. Megan @Urbane Commercial has a solid industry background that's all about value, reputation and quality. I love this! Megan is also a beautiful Mama and despite the current economic challenges, manages to juggle work life and continue to deliver a premium, personalised approach to every relationship. This is the result of a true professional. Life is a journey that takes us along many different paths, meeting all sorts of people along the way. Meeting, then having the opportunity to work with some of these people keeps me inspired and motivated to keep doing what I love to do. Helping my clients is not only good for them, but also helps to provide me a sense of purpose and to feel happier and more productive. What drives you to do what you love? #worksmarternotharder

16.01.2022 The people you meet along the way

15.01.2022 Food for thought Working in Social Media, I have a responsibility to provide my clients and friends with the latest information and tools to best use Social media to their advantage. I love this part of my job.... My bigger responsibility here is to also educate people to stay protected within the boundaries of social media. For years now, in all my workshops I've talked about how FB & IG are listening in on us by using our microphone & camera apps on our devices. watching and monitoring our every online interaction (this includes Google). This is done so the algorithms can be purposely built around us as individuals, so we're served with content FB thinks we should be seeing, based on our online actions. This is great for business hence the reason these platforms are an essential business tool, and a gold mine for advertisers. My advice has always been to turn off these apps (and disable your location) whenever you're not using any of these. Its alarming what information is being collected through every like, every click and every move we've made, then used for the wrong reason. Personal data is sold to advertisers and to other more 'non ethical' organisations This has been happening for years, and could explain why you receive mail or calls from businesses you've never interacted with. I love that this Doco has come to light. It shouldn't be considered as a scare tactic, but more of an eye opener. To help us as 'users' become more aware that we are open to being exploited by using these platforms without even realising. Staying up to date and checking all security status' on all devices should be done regularly, as many of these default back to phone settings when we run our software updates. Please watch the Doco with an open mind, and please continue to use these platforms as they were originally intended. To stay connected, to share good news and to build networks. For anyone who is sceptical about any of this, you might want to try this (something tried and tested in my workshops. Works every time) Think about a place you'd love to visit/or a sport you've never done Fiji / Karate Mention it out aloud or 'like' a single post or Google search of the place / sport Keep an eye out for all the ads, all the deals and all the posts around Fiji holidays / karate popping into your feed. Ready to book your next trip with Mr Miyaki!? NB Once you've booked your trip to Fiji or decided Karate is not for you, disable all future notifications from your Ad settings. Shoot me a message if you need help with this https://www.google.com.au//the-social-dilemma-a-wake-up-ca

13.01.2022 The friends we make along the way Working with Aly Walsh has always been easy and always a pleasure. Clients that become friends for years on, it's such a cool thing. I first met Aly back in 2015, we were introduced by the lovely Rachael @littleartbigart... At the time I was looking for some help to publish a book I'd just written, and which Rachael helped illustrate. Earlier that year our family lost one of our favourite people. The news was such a shock to all of us, our kids were in a world of pain & confusion with the sudden loss of their favourite cousin. It made no sense to them. To help the kids deal with their grief and questions I took pen to paper and wrote a book with the hope of capturing his memory and times they spent together. I sat with Aly as she first read through my book, "Is this going to make me cry?" she asked me. Possibly, I replied. We shed a tear together then, but after that day all our meet ups ever since have been much lighter, and with lots of laughs. I love seeing Aly help so many others live their dream of publishing their books too. It's been 5 years since we worked together on @alys_books and over the years our paths have crossed numerous times. Earlier this year, Aly reached out for my help again with her latest business venture @walshbrownproperty, another exciting time for Aly. Clients that become good friends is something pretty special, and I couldn't be more proud knowing I've made some amazing ones along my way. Work is better when we surround ourselves with good people. Life is better when good people are around. This is why it's so important to enjoy what we do, and do what we love #clientappreciation

11.01.2022 It's the moments together that change us forever The past few months have been full of moments. But I stick by what I always say, never wish a day away even with all that's happening around us. Keep looking for positives because they are out there.... Every day is a new opportunity. No denying, lockdown is hurting us on many levels, but wishing away 2020 is not healthy for anyone. Make the year count. We've been challenged. Been pushed into directions we didn't know existed. Screamed louder than we thought we ever could. Cried more than we ever wanted to. Maybe you too hugged your kids or partner more than ever before. Had more family dinners together than you can remember having. Explored new areas in your neighbourhood on your daily walks. Spent more money on slime, crafts and ingredients than you would in any other lifetime. When we change the way we look at things, things change for the better. I'd give anything to go for a run or enjoy the outdoors with my beautiful girl without all the restrictions. But all the other moments we've had together over the past six months, well they've definitely been a little out of the ordinary, but they've been better because we're together

09.01.2022 "Sometimes the strength within you is not a big fiery flame for all to see, it is just a tiny spark that whispers ever so softly 'you’ve got this, keep going'." Repost @pinkhopeaus The ongoing strength and support the team at Pink Hope give to their community is what helps so many breast cancer patients stay focused, and to keep going. It was such an privilege to meet with the girls from this amazing organisation in our recent one to one Social Media coaching session.... It's been 12 months since my own personal scare with breast cancer, and it's reassuring to know that a support group like this exists for increased-risk women. Providing resources and support for individuals to take charge of their health and the possibility for them to avoid cancer is what this group are made of. Their next info webinar 'How to be your own Health advocate' is happening next Tuesday night - head to their FB page for details. ** Pink Hope was originally established in response to a gap in the provision of information, relevant guidance and emotional support to women at-risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Pink Hope is a preventative health hub that allows every individual the necessary tools to assess, manage and reduce their risk of breast and ovarian cancer, while providing personalised support for at risk women. Our organisation has witnessed an even greater need for us to empower the general population to assess, understand and reduce their risk.** #womensupportingwomen

07.01.2022 Cheers! To my amazing clients who made it through the toughest of tough times! This one goes out to all my clients who have been busily preparing to reopen face-to-face again! SO excited for you. The past few months have been next level different for these amazing business owners.... Challenging. Scary. Relentless. They've seen us work together to tweak business models, persist with rollercoaster results, rework social media strategies and do whatever it took to keep things rolling ...,but we did it! YOU did it! As doors reopen, and people can finally get access to the services they deserve, I couldn't be more proud of you for being so patient, strong and resilient. Now to keep up with the influx of calls + bookings! It's a good thing we prepared for this too #newbeginnings

06.01.2022 No matter which way we look at it, there's only so much we can do in any one day. Running a small business can see us scrambling for time, trying to do everything for everyone, with our attention stretched across a dozen different areas. It's not the way nature intended, but it is the way burnout manifests.... Good things take time. And require clear thinking. Creating content, managing your social platforms .. it's a job in itself. But keeping your social media accounts active and working for you is key if you're wanting to be seen & heard in your industry. There's a good chance this isn't high on your priority list right now [especially if you're juggling remote learning] so why not consider outsourcing this little project for a short time. It could be the best decision you've made all day. All week, all month. Who knows, it could be the best decision you've made for your biz in a long while #worksmarternotharder . @yogawithjessie

02.01.2022 Despite current circumstances, we have so much to be grateful for every day

02.01.2022 Today marks the end of another stint of remote learning. I know between us we've learnt a thing or two about life. I've been challenged just like the next parent /carer that stood in place of our teachers. I leant that patience and acceptance were the real game changers.... I acknowledge just how resilient our kids are when faced with challenges they've never had to face before. Not having the usual 'walked the walk' before from us as their role models, it was tricky trying to navigate this together yet stay focused. I've learnt a thing or two about what we want to do and don't want when we go back to the busy after school curriculum roadshow, and the running from one activity to the next. There's a bunch of things we've all learnt being in each other's feet 24/7 for so many months. But the absolute standout for me is how much I appreciate life more than ever before. How quickly our normal can change, and how quickly we can unknowingly adapt to change. And just how amazing our kids are when it comes to adapting to change. Changes that have kept them away from their other comfort zones; their teachers, their friends and their school community. Even though every family, every household has had their own struggles, challenges and tantrums, at the end of it lies the reason for our existence. Our kids. Such a positive impact on our lives. Sometimes they can be there to fix the mistakes we make as parents. But most of all, they give meaning to our life every single day. And as they grow, continue to become productive members of our society. High five to everyone who made it. Be proud. Even if you think you messed up along the way, or screamed louder than you should have, you made it. And you certainly deserve to be told and reminded that even though it was freakin tough, our kids will always remember it was different. We made PE fun by playing tennis in the street together rather than a beep test in the school hall, and Maths was more interesting measuring out ingredients to make cookies together rather than dividing numbers on paper. Some of the best days were the ones we wagged. To all my friends that rode this wild ride, I send a huge virtual hug and well done

02.01.2022 "The odds of hitting your target go up dramatically when you aim at it "- Mal Pancoast And this is exactly what I see rolling out with @little.ax Since our recent 121 custom coaching session, Anthony is nailing his Insta feed!... By implementing all the little tips + tricks we explored in our session, looking at ways to research and better understand how to best target his ideal customer, Ant is making his mark in the world of archery. Full disclosure. I knew nothing about archery before meeting with Anthony. But, after doing my own research in the field, I was confident that we could apply the fundamentals of a good social media strategy to help him get the best results for his business. The game may be different, but the formulas remains the same. All it takes is commitment. Keep it up Ant! Loving your work #worksmarternotharder
