22.01.2022 We have 2 weeks left of the Classic version of Facebook before it's decommissioned. I'm noticing less and less features are working on the Classic version, yet the new F5 is not completely operational. Observations particularly are: 1. Can't upload cover video to events (in either Classic or F5) 2. Your Page Story (in the About Section) is not available in F5... What have your observations been? 20.01.2022 Facebook Shopping is being taken to a whole new level! Live shopping on Facebook could be a game-changer for your business. Mari Smith's new blog outlines Zuck's plan for a single online store that has a unified presence and a seamless experience for your customers. While focused primarily on physical products, there is talk of provision for digital products as well! This is great news for people who are coaches and consultants, who run online courses and have downloadable products. ( As of right now, digital products are not allowed to be sold through Facebook Shops. Knowledge workers will welcome the addition of digital products to Facebook shops!)

19.01.2022 The changes on Facebook are happening thick and fast! New policy from Facebook popped out last week in an attempt from Facebook to clean up groups. Groups without active admins will be archived if nobody steps up to replace the absent admin - similar to what meetup.com do with their groups. Health-related support groups will also suffer a blow with Facebook not suggesting them as recommended groups to join (based on your interests). ... Health related groups may also see some content removed or restricted with more stringent rules around the type of content allowed, in an effort to stamp out misinformation from sources that are not credible. (Think the snake-oil salesman). Unfortunately, it's the bad actors that have made it tougher for those of us who operate with integrity. Fortunately, we are a resilient and adaptable bunch (or we'd have been eaten by saber toothed tigers eons ago ;-) ) and we will find ways to continue to get our messages to the world with authenticity and integrity. An article in Social Media Today says the new 'Hit Me Up' sticker would prompt a quick DM response via the sticker to help increase more intimate connections between people. We also can remove or restrict access to your content, services or information if we determine that doing so is reasonably necessary to avoid or mitigate adverse legal or regulatory impacts to Facebook.
