19.01.2022 Remember that you can post a notice about your upcoming community event at What's On - Social New England. It's free! https://www.facebook.com/groups/631357490534919/
17.01.2022 I was visiting Newling Public School today with a former teacher and checking out the hand print wall where staff and students from 1988 are recorded for posterity. I came across this one for Cadel Evans. Cool!
15.01.2022 People queuing at the ticket office for Hudson's Circus this evening. We have brought 5 kids along and 2 have never been to a circus before. I reckon they might be excited and full of anticipation!
14.01.2022 If anyone would like to see more of my selected photos (presently of Italy), then check out my page @johnwolfendenphotography where I post a few of my many pics. Below is a shot of St Peters square looking down from the steps of St Peters Basilica.
14.01.2022 Al fresco dining Rome style. Wouldn't it be great to see more of this in the New England? Perhaps not in winter though...
12.01.2022 We might be in the middle of a severe drought, but this doesn’t mean that our farmers have stopped trying to manage their land well. I recently attended a field day at the property Urandangie, located just south of Guyra and upstream of Malpas Dam (the source of Armidale’s water supply). 09.01.2022 Soccer season has started for 2019. Grey skies, cold wind, jackets and beanies. Some things never change!
09.01.2022 Tasty steak burger at Fusspots at Ebor. It even came with home made relish. Yummy! Gluten free bread and rolls available too. Great stopover for a coffee as well.
04.01.2022 Ever wanted to try your hand at a great indoor sport? Table tennis could well be it! When Rob Ramazani and Stan Tao put down the BBQ tongs last weekend, they headed inside the Armidale Secondary College gymnasium for a social hit of table tennis. The occasion was a social BBQ put on by Armidale Table Tennis Club. About 20 players and family attended and enjoyed some great food and made the most of the opportunity to just sit around and chat. Table tennis is very much alive and well at the club, and there are four sessions a week where you can come and play. Check out their Facebook page or the website www.armidaletabletennis.net. (declaration of interest: your editor is the President of the Armidale Table Tennis Club and is keen to encourage new people to come and join in for fun and friendly competition!). John.
02.01.2022 Your editor is presently holidaying in Italy. What a wonderful place to visit and to see the amazing mixture of ancient and modern. If you would like to see some photos of my travels, check out my Instagram account 'johnwolfendenphotography'. I have called the photo below 'Five minutes to Springtime' or 'Cinque minuti a primavera'. Enjoy. Ciao, John
01.01.2022 The Jack Valance soccer carnival due in Armidale tomorrow has been postponed.
