Pierre Vandel was founded by an interior designer of the same name and operated between the 1960’s and 70’s. The set is in great condition for age with the original velvet showing minimal signs of wear, details below. Included is 2 singles, 2 ends with arms, a swivel based armchair and an ottoman. What began was an extremely rusty and weathered set of cescas. All requiring refurbished frames, back to original paint job and new rattan across the whole set. A very rare piece that we feel would feature well as a 6 seater dining table ( 8 with 2 on ends) or consultation table with a chair either side. Note: the pearlescent coating sits underneath a heavy clear coat so it is very smooth and protected. Fibreglass legs, solid poured top. We assisted in fabric and timber leg selections complimentary to the main sofa which had been ordered in tan leather. After a few meetings, 13 long chats, 89 text messages and an email trail we settled on the white Scapigliata bouclé by @filippo_uecher_collection supplied by @southpacificfabrics over a solid American walnut leg.... A very lovely process to go through with two equally lovely people. The Lando lounge is available by order in a single armchair or 2 seater lounge with matching ottoman. Its made local by artisans with a lifetime of experience and the care and love that comes with handmade furniture.
