25.01.2022 As part of NAIDOC Week, our apprentice chef Kai at West Angelas made a delicious kangaroo red curry for dinner service. Coming to Sodexo with no prior chef experience, but a great attitude and motivation to learn, Kai has quickly become an talented and enthusiastic member of the team. 23.01.2022 Our team at Hawkesbury Retirement Village held its inaugural 'Bake Off'. The residents had a fantastic time competing to create the most delicious baked goods, with representatives from Sodexo, Uniting and The Women's Cottage judging the competition. Ahead of #WhiteRibbonDay, the proceeds raised by the residents of Hawkesbury village were donated to Women's Cottage in Richmond, funding essential items to restock the pantry, provide hampers and emergency supplies to support w...omen and children in need. This included the renovation and reactivation of 743 accommodation rooms and central facilities, enabling the site to accommodate up to 1,134 FIFO personnel. 01.01.2022 We recently facilitated a workplace employment visit for six students from the Clontarf Foundation. The students came from four different trades: plumbing, electrician, carpenter and grounds maintenance. The boys had a blast and they left with a greater understanding of the job opportunities which exist for them in the future, locally in Jabiru and beyond.
