16.01.2022 REFILLS AND WHY WE NEED THEM Your lashes grow and fall out over a 6-8 week period, give or take, everyone is different. As baby lashes grow, they will push out the adult ones, causing them to fall out so that the cycle can start over. Your lashes must been maintained during their growth phase, for them to fall out naturally and not prematurely. 1. OUTGROWN LASH... The first imagine is an example of 3 week growth! While it may look as if your retention is great and feel like you do not need to come in for a fill yet, leaving them to grow out like this can put strain on the natural lash causing damage. The extensions will then potentially hang and twist which can be extremely uncomfortable too. 2. REMOVAL The second image shows the healthy natural lash after the old extension has been removed. All extensions that have grown out too far from the eyelid must be removed. 3. REPLACEMENT The third image shows a new extension being placed onto the natural lash, close to the eyelid and ready to grow out all over again! 2-3 week refills are my general recommendation. Anything after that and you risk possibly being a client who’s lashes have all grown out so much that nearly ALL of your extensions need to be removed and a full set reapplied. You will then need to pay full set price. This also means I may have to reschedule your appointment if there is not enough time to complete a full set. Please let me know in advance if you think this may be the case and we can adjust your appointment time. Everyone’s lashes and growth cycle vary depending on many different things such as: lifestyle, health, medications, metabolism etc. and while 4 week refills may be ok for some, for others it will not be! This is a perfect example of how eyelash extensions DO NOT DAMAGE your natural eyelashes if applied correctly and well maintained at home
