19.01.2022 TICKET TO PLAY 2020/2021 season If your Association or Club has been approved for ticket to play - you maybe eligible - see details below To be eligible for a voucher, children must be:... living in Tasmania; aged between 5 and 17 years old at the time of application; and be listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card (either their own or their parent, guardian or carer’s) or be in Out of Home Care. In the 2020-21 program, each eligible child will receive two vouchers worth $100 each which can be used both at one activity provider, or at two different activity providers How to apply for a Ticket to Play voucher You can apply for a voucher by clicking this link https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/tick/apply-for-a-voucher For each application you will need: Relevant personal details of the parent/carer (name, address, contact details) Relevant personal details of the applicant (name, date of birth) Centrelink customer reference number (CRN) for parent/guardian and applicant If your application is approved you will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address by clicking on a validation link. Once your email address is confirmed, you will receive a second email with your Ticket to Play vouchers. Present the voucher to an activity provider when you register your child for membership. You will need to show your voucher code(s) and Health Care or Pension Concession Card. The activity provider will reduce your membership fee by up to $100 per voucher. If the full membership fee is less than $100, the voucher can only be used for this amount. For example, if membership costs $80, the voucher will cover the whole amount. If the membership fee is more than $100, you will need to pay the rest. For example, if the full membership costs $150, the voucher will cover $100 and you will pay $50. If you are using two vouchers at one activity provider, the vouchers will cover membership fees up to $200. For example, if membership costs $150, the vouchers will cover $150. 15.01.2022 It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of Softball Tasmania’s Life Members, Gwen Britton. Gwennie, as she was known to many, started playing in the Ulverstone association in the 60s and progressed to coach Redbacks and Ulverstone representative teams both very successfully. Since the early 80s she was involved as Selector, Manager, Assistant Coach and Head Coach of 13 Tasmanian Senior and Junior State teams. In her later years Gwen also coached ma...sters teams in Tasmania and Victoria. Many state team players and officials benefited from her friendship, knowledge and dedication, she will be remembered as a tough but fair coach. Gwen served as convenor for the State League and Greater Northern rosters and as Co-ordinator of the Tas Talent ID program for Juniors, was involved in many state clinics, hosting visiting coaches in her home. She also served as Vice President of Softball Tasmania for many years and was a fierce advocate for our game. Awards/Achievements 1999 Awarded Life Membership of Ulverstone Association 2000 Received the Australian Sport Medal 2010 Gwen was a very worthy recipient of Life Membership of the Tasmanian Softball Council Inc. (Softball Tasmania) The Softball community thank you Gwennie, you will be remembered fondly and missed by your many friends in Softball throughout Tasmania.
