22.01.2022 Hi teams, we have missed you this year, so we are opening the entries early for our 2021 Softball Queensland Masters Tournament! Moreton Bay Regional Council ha...ve agreed to support the Masters tournament for 2021, 2022 and 2023 across Talobilla Park. This includes Redcliffe Softball Association, PCYC Football and Padres Baseball and commencing in 2021, the Caboolture Softball Association at Dances Road, Caboolture. Entries open on Friday, 4th December 2020 at 10am (AEST). A minimum of six (6) players from each team will need to have registered and paid to secure their spot. 21.01.2022 Come along to the Queensland Heat Softball Team and Queensland Patriots Shootout on Sunday 6th December at Redcliffe Leagues Softball Association. Our U23 and U18 squads will also be involved. This year we're also lucky enough to be joined by Travelodge Aussie Spirit Captain Stacey Porter and Pitcher Kaia Parnaby. With lots of games to watch and player signings it will be a great day of high level softball!

Tiarna Law from Brothers United Softball cut her hair to raise money for the Cancer Council Of Queensland in support of her friend Kirsty Lester. Tiarna is in our U16 Girls State Team Squad for 2021, and Kirsty was in our U16 Girls State Team who competed at Nationals earlier this year before finding out out her diagnosis Well done to the students involved donating their hair to make wigs and raising $2,800 for the Cancer Council!

19.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: As you may be aware, Queensland Health will shortly release an updated Covid-safe Roadmap for the Greater Brisbane Area following the completion of the three-day lockdown period last weekend. The Roadmap outlines additional restrictions that will be in place from 6pm Monday 11 January 2021 through to 1am Friday 22 January 2021. Details of these changes are outlined on the Queensland Government’s COVID website. Please note the following as specific to the s...port, recreation and fitness industries as they apply to the Greater Brisbane Area (being Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay and Redlands): Individuals must carry a face mask at all times when outside of home Individuals must wear a face mask in indoor spaces, including: o indoor recreation facilities and gyms (this also includes indoor batting cages) o indoor workplaces (where social distancing is not possible) Indoor events: o under 500 people do not require approval when following a Covid-safe Event checklist. o between 500 10,000 people require a Covid-safe Event Plan approved by local Public Health Units o over 10,000 people require a Covid-safe Event Plan approved by the Chief Health Officer Outdoor events: o under 1000 people do not require approval when following a Covid-safe Event checklist o between 1000 10,000 people require a Covid-safe Event Plan approved by local Public Health Units o over 10,000 people require a Covid-safe Event Plan approved by the Chief Health Officer Subject to no cases in the community, from 1:00am Friday 22 January 2021, Greater Brisbane may return to the current ongoing restrictions for rest of Queensland, further information will be provided closer to the date subject to further announcements. These conditions will include no organised physical activity. While it is not mandated that activity cannot occur today, we would strongly encourage Greater Brisbane to implement these changes as soon as possible. From 6pm tonight until 6pm Monday, people in the local government areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan w...ill be required to stay at home except: to attend work if you can’t work from home; to buy essentials like groceries and medicine; look after the vulnerable; and exercise within their neighbourhood Masks will also need to be worn everywhere in those local government areas except if people are at home.
