22.01.2022 SUNDAY 2nd Feb...we advise that our Lane 1 Sentry is not operational due to an electrical relay problem. This will require an Electrician to access so Lane 1 will be out of action until further notice. Lane 2 (Northern side) is operating ok however the screen may show that the Tunnel is busy with no cars in front of you. This is a sequence fault relating to the electrical problem with Lane 1. If you experience this issue with Lane 2, please sound your horn and the Attendant will rest the queue from the inside Office computer. We apologise for any inconvenience or delays that you may experience in the next few days until this problem is resolved.

22.01.2022 Customer Notice : We suffered a network power outage on Friday which has now resulted in the failure of the main operating feature of our Southern Sentry Entrance Terminal. This has effectively taken the unit out of operation. We will need to source a new mother board from Victoria or the United States to bring it back online. Tunnel Wash operations are not impacted. Tunnel traffic will be directed through the Northern Sentry and we will endeavour to process cars manually through the other lane if we are busy. No doubt some delays will occur and we apologise in advance and will do everything possible to reduce wait times. Unfortunately this may take some time to be rectified.

21.01.2022 Okay, so here is the update on the problems we continue to have with accessing our Wash Tunnel via the Southern entrance terminal. Despite air freighting parts and software from both Melbourne and the US, we are still unable to get our main entrance terminal operational. We know how frustrating this is but thankfully we are entering our Winter slow period so customers will have slightly less inconvenience. Technology is great when it works but it is a royal pain in the ass when it fails !! We are trying very hard to get the issue resolved but it may take a few weeks yet...unfortunately. Thankfully our other terminal is working ok and our great team is overcoming the issues to continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Thats how we roll at Speedwash !!

20.01.2022 2pm Monday ..., We advise that the Speedwash Tunnel is CLOSED for the next few hours due to a breakdown with our conveyor. We are in the process of replacing the bushes in the main pulley which is a labour intensive job and will take some time. We apologise for any inconvenience.

18.01.2022 Some interesting industry info and a great interview with Neil Fox from The Wash Factory in WA and President of the Australian Car Wash Association. Really interesting to hear his comments on water use and the value of recycling systems which whilst expensive to put in place, have a massive favourable impact on the environment. Also the adoption of Tap and Go payment systems driven by COVID and the push for a much higher focus on hygiene.

17.01.2022 11.15am Tuesday....We have resolved the technical issue which caused a disruption to operations this morning. The Wash Tunnel is again fully operational. Given the inconvenience to a number of our regular Happy Hour customers , we are extending our Half Price Gold Wash offer until 1.30pm today, Tuesday. This extension only applies for today, so if you missed out earlier this morning, you can still get your Half Price Gold wash up until 1.30pm. Again, we apologise for the inconvenience however technology is designed to test us and indeed it did !! Have a great day

16.01.2022 Business Update for our valued customers : Our Team has worked very hard over the last 9 years to deliver a automated wash service that is "Fast, Clean and Green" . Our automated Wash Tunnel was built using the very best equipment and technology available and we have continued to invest in maintaining our equipment and updating as and when necessary. After 9 years of operations, we continue to enjoy a very high level of repeat customer support. The Owners recognised 12 month...s ago that a significant capital investment was required to upgrade our operating hardware and software, and bring all operating systems in line with the most recent Windows operating platforms. Such an upgrade would require new entry terminals, updated tap payment screens, and additional options to integrate Smart Phone and App connectivity. We committed to this upgrade with our US supplier in late 2019 with an expected installation and activation by April/May 2020. It goes without saying that COVID 19 impacted on the build and delivery out of the USA and also the fact that highly skilled technicians would not be available onsite to install the equipment and software. Softtouch Speedwash is not your average car wash. Our Water Recycling system, our Wash Tunnel communication system, our Point of Sale terminals etc etc , are all managed and operated by advanced software systems. Our recent breakdowns have been largely due to issues with our legacy Windows XP operating system and we rely on our US based support team to rectify problems when they arise. Nobody is more frustrated by the breakdowns than us. We understand that most, but not all, of the hardware required for our upgrade has arrived in Australia. Much of the configuration can be undertaken in Melbourne before shipping to Adelaide but we still need our suppliers technicians to be able to get to Adelaide once all the equipment is here. This Business Update is provided simply to bring our customers up to date and to give some advanced notice on some exciting changes to our customer interface over the next few months. 15.01.2022 CIRCIUT BREAKER - COVID19- 6 Day Lockdown for all but Essential Workers. Softtouch Speedwash will CLOSE under the 6 Day Lockdown Restrictions which take effect from midnight tonight. With the Lockdown imposed on everybody, no one will be able to wash during these 6 days. At this time we expect to be OPEN on Wednesday 25th November at 8am. Stay Safe everyone.

13.01.2022 4.30pm...Problem resolved. Loose electrical relay causing our high pressure sprays to fail. Thanks to our Manager, Glenn who stepped through all of the relays to track down the problem. We apologise to any customers who could not wash between 3pm and 4.30pm today. All systems go for a sunny day tomorrow.

12.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Softtouch Speedwash has introduced specific Policy which has now been circulated to all of our Rostered Staff. High touch areas such as EFTPOS, Entrance screens etc will be wiped down with Hospital Grade Sanitised Wipes several times a day. Our Staff have been provided with clear operating instructions to protect their own well-being during these most difficult times. Our Express automated Wash Tunnel operates with customers remaining in their vehicles and ...the wash process after the initial prep is fully automated. Our soaps and high pressure sprays used in our Automated wash tunnel will assist to keep your external vehicle surface free of any potential contamination. Customers who use our Self Serve Wash and Vacuum facility should observe their own personal hygiene measures. 12.01.2022 COVID19 - Update Your car won't catch the COVID19 virus but its surface is exposed every time it is parked in a public area. Our Automatic Wash Tunnel and the soaps and high pressure sprays will assist to keep your car free from contaminants in these uncertain times.... If you are a member of our Unlimited VIP Wash Club Program then you are ideally placed to keep your car and its surfaces clean and hygienic. You don't have to get out of your car and in just over 4 minutes, the job is done. If you use our Self Serve Wash Bays and Vacuums then please be aware any surface has the potential to carry the virus. We will provide one pair of disposable gloves (subject to ongoing supply) for free upon request to our Attendant when you use the Self Serve facilities during our Wash Tunnel operating hours of 8am to 6pm. Please observe Social Distancing at all times. We have a work routine across all daytime shifts to wipe down as many customer touch points as we can with Hospital Grade Alcohol based sprays. This includes our Sentry Entrance Terminal Screens and the Vending area. Stay safe everyone and lets all take responsibility to stop the spread of COVID19. 10.01.2022 10am Saturday...Unfortunately we advise that our Express Wash Tunnel is currently CLOSED due to conveyor breakdown. Urgent repairs are now underway however we are not sure how long this will take. Again, we apologise for the inconvenience, particularly on a great day to wash cars.

10.01.2022 Update on last Sundays FB post regarding electrical issues with one of our entrance terminals. We had a new power board express freighted from the US and it is now installed and operational. Great work by Greg and our electrician Andy, together with our Staff who acted quickly last week to identify the problem, locate the required power board from the US, and keep things running relatively smoothly. We did a full Quality review of every aspect of the Wash this morning and we are back to 100% operational efficiency. Weather looks great for the coming week so maybe its time to show your car some Love Dont forget our Two Hour Half Price Gold wash on Tuesday between 10am and Noon. 09.01.2022 3pm Friday ....unfortunately we have a breakdown in our express tunnel operation and we wont be able to wash vehicles until the problem is rectified. Low water pressure is causing our high pressure sprays to fail. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Half Price Gold Wash again on tomorrow (Tuesday) between 10am and Noon. $10 will get you all cleaned up for another week. 03.01.2022 Seems like everyone likes our Tuesday Two Hour Half Price Gold Wash offer. We are so busy on Tuesday mornings between 10am and Noon that cars can sometimes be forced to line up on Tapleys Hill Road. We have our experienced Full Time Staff working on Tuesday mornings and we can process vehicles very quickly through our Prep area unless we experience a vehicle heavily impacted by bugs and bird droppings. There is not an automated car wash in the World that can remove all hard e...ncrusted sediment. These problems take extra time and effort and can slow the efficient processing of vehicles through our Prep area. If your vehicle has lots of bugs or severe bird droppings, please use the high pressure spray and soaps in the Self Serve area to clean them off before entering our Wash Tunnel. Such sediment can result in minor scratching of the paint work if not removed carefully and this can best be done by spending $2 and a couple of minutes in the Self Serve wash bay. We ask that drivers be patient during this busy period as once a vehicle is on its way inside the Wash Tunnel things can move pretty quick and your are through in just over 4 minutes. Our Team do their very best and we try to offer a quality cheap Gold Wash as a service to our local community. Recently we have experienced some verbal abuse of our Staff who are simply trying to offer the very best level of service. Our CCTV records all activity on the Site so we are able to monitor who is at fault and when. If you cannot afford 10 minutes on a Tuesday morning to wash your car between 10am and Noon, then our Two Hour Happy Hour Gold wash may not be your best option.
