23.01.2022 If you don't want to risk getting a Soggy Bottom, you can compete in our dry races. Test your agility around the course while and try not to trip over each other in the boat! Sunday March 1st at Waverley Lake.

23.01.2022 We are proud to support Diabetes Tasmania Youth Camps at this years Soggy Bottom Cardboard Box Boat Regatta! Type One Children’s Camps The camps are part of the Type One Youth Support (TOYS) program for children and young adults who live with type 1 diabetes. They are age specific and designed to develop self-confidence and resilience, whilst helping both children and parents realise that they are not alone in dealing with the challenges of living with diabetes.... 09.01.2022 Our fundraising cause for 1st March 2020 is CAMPS FOR DIABETIC KIDS These camps are our way of helping kids get used to the routine of being a diabetic and having peers who are going through the same thing to make friends with and talk to.

About young people and type 1 diabetes: Type 1 diabetes affects 5 times as many Tasmanian children as cancer.... Over 3,000 Tasmanians have type 1 diabetes, over 360 are children aged 18 months to 20 years. A person with type 1 diabetes will die in 2-3 days without treatment. The cause of type 1 diabetes remains a mystery, with no cure. 51% of young people with type 1 diabetes are concerned for their own mental health. See more
