21.01.2022 A message from all of us regarding COVID-19 - We all share concerns surrounding coronavirus and with each passing day the potential effect on our community becomes more apparent. While media and current commentary continue to raise concern, we are working to ensure we are up to date with the latest information to provide the best treatment for our patients.... At Specialists on Hand we are committed to providing you with a safe and enjoyable environment in our Hand Therapy clinics. As has always been the case, our hygiene is of the highest standard. Health of our staff and patients ranks at the top of our priorities. We have taken additional measures to make our protocols even more rigorous and can assure you our staff have not travelled overseas for many months and are all in fine health. We welcome anyone who HAS NOT travelled internationally within the last 14 days. IS NOT experiencing any flu or cold like symptoms. These can include fever, cough, sore throat, tiredness or shortness of breath. HAS NOT been in contact with any persons who have been diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19 in the past 14 days. We will be in contact with all patients if circumstances change. We all need a little cheering up and as usual we feel confident in saying when you visit us, we can always guarantee a clinic full of laughter! If you have any concerns prior to your appointment, then feel free to contact us and we will be happy to accommodate you and your needs. 13.01.2022 What did you do on the weekend? The team at Specialists On Hand presented at the WA AHTA (Australian Hand Therapy Association) Meeting. Our topics were centred around maximising outcomes for our patients. So we titled it "A Day at the PROM" (patient rated outcome measures), with Carmel being crowned Queen! There was a lot of hours of work involved but we learnt a lot which will benefit our patients. It was both informative and fun, just like our therapy sessions.
