18.01.2022 This is the latest image of the Soil Wealth Bowen demo site. The vegetable production season has well and truly ended and the site is now in the phase where a cover crop of native grasses in two of the four treatments will be allowed to establish. These strips will be slashed two or three times over the summer while the strips for treatments without cover crops will be worked or sprayed with herbicide to eliminate vegetative growth. It has been a very dry end to the year in Bowen (as the photo clearly shows) and we are waiting for the first of the monsoonal bursts of rainfall which we hope is not too far away. We will post footage of the site periodically over the summer which we hope will be WET WET WET! Best wishes to all for a safe and festive Christmas season form the Soil Wealth Bowen team.
