Its been a busy couple of weeks for me, working on heapppps of new kits and dealing with a broken laptop which was the worst possible thing to happen when youre in the middle of filming for heaps of kits luckily the replacement has arrived and Im strapping myself in for a weekend of video editing, which means new kits and new Skillshare classes soon. 07.01.2022 In the past few months Ive been looking for some quicker projects to make, so I started playing around with felt patches. All the tutorials I saw told me to stitch without a hoop and then finish the edge with satin stitch: the very opposite of a quick project! So to save your hands and your sanity, Ive made class on how to make felt patches with just one stitch and a secret ingredient to bond the pieces together! The release of the Daisy Bunting Kit Ive been working on some ideas in the past couple of months to take embroidery out of the hoop and into more practical items while still being beginner friendly! Ill be sharing some updates in the coming weeks but in the meantime, brace yourselves for some serious floral content

04.01.2022 Why do I embroider? I embroider on the sad-blue-cloud kinda days and I embroider on the happy-pink- tulip kinda days. I embroider on the days where I feel like I have no idea what Im doing and I embroider on the days where my ideas flow faster than my fingers could possibly stitch them. I saw this quote from Rob Ryan years ago and it perfectly put into words how I feel: I embroider because Im a maker and I make things! So whatever you make, I hope it brings you joy; on the sad days and the happy days and every day in between.

02.01.2022 Spring is here and so is the Daisy Bunting Kit! Ive always loved bunting but didnt have the sewing machine skills to make them! Through a lot of trial and error, Ive come up with this method that once youve finished the embroidery, theyre super easy to finish and theres no need for a sewing machine! Its been super fun to work on a project thats not just an embroidery hoop, hope you guys love them too! Free shipping in Australia and you can find them on my Etsy store!

02.01.2022 Sometimes all you need is a little backstitch to bring things to life! I really enjoyed learning to draw this little Fiddle Leaf Fig (no plants were harmed in the making of this piece, I used photos for reference ) This one will be part of a new kit dropping on Thursday!
