12.01.2022 SCS week 1 post In the first week commencing SCS, we have found that 3 of the 5 people we have spoken with have paid excessively more for their solar systems than what we know is possible. Each was based on their installed solar system, when it was purchased and what type of extras they received. 1 was over 7 years old, with the other two less than a year ago. While the price is not the only factor when getting solar, in these instances, we feel it was overpriced. We highly... recommend that you always get 3 or more quotes, and from CEC licensed companies and installers. Things to keep in mind.. before you go solar. ------- FOMO - Fear of missing out!! This is a tactic that is used, and I personally experienced this last year with one solar rep. Always best to do proper research.... The deals are everywhere so do not worry. Look for great companies, excellent system and with the right price... ------- You can get your power bill usage in 15-minute increments from your energy provider. This is important to get accurate readings on your power usage. It also is a great indicator on how much you will save with a solar system (without batteries) ------- If your power bill is less than $250.00 per 60 days, then solar will most likely have a very long payback period. You would need to see that most of your power consumption occurred during peak periods to consider getting one.
