25.01.2022 Toolbox meeting! We’re back on deck and 2019 is off to a roaring start. Happy new year to all our clients, friends and family.

25.01.2022 Australia’s largest solar farm and batteries in Victoria will provide enough power for 16,000 homes!

25.01.2022 Renewables continue to make power cheaper!

24.01.2022 Got solar? Here are the top tips to help you make the most of your solar PV system.

24.01.2022 Solar Powered Homes have easily fulfilled the requirements to become an accredited Clean Energy Council approved retailer. When you buy a solar system from a Clean Energy Council approved retailer, you can be sure that you are getting a quality product. And importantly, from a company that follows the relevant consumer protection laws and will back the operation of your solar PV system for at least five years.... Our quality products include great names such as LG Solar, LG Chem, Solar Edge, Fronius, SMA, Radiant Solar (Mounting frames) Congratulations team!

24.01.2022 Supporting and subsidising renewables provides exit strategy for coal and help for workers.

23.01.2022 Congratulations Karina Smith Brammah for the excellent write-up, and thanks for name-dropping our business! As you say, supporting local businesses makes a vibrant community.

23.01.2022 And the race is on for your votes! Hopefully renewables are the ultimate winners and supported by all the parties.

23.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM CEC AND CER (Please note that as we do not install or sell Trina Solar Panels our customers are not affected by this announcement) Trina Solar and the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) have identified that incorrect information may have been provided by Trina Solar in relation to the eligibility of certain solar panels for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs). As a result, solar panels have been installed and STCs created on the incorrect assumptio...n that the panels were eligible for STCs and were on the Clean Energy Council’s (CEC) Approved Module List. What this means To remedy this, the CER has accepted an enforceable undertaking from Trina Solar to address any ineligible solar panels. This requires Trina Solar to: offer to replace (free of charge, including transportation and re-stocking costs) affected panels where the panels have not yet been installed where affected panels have been installed, Trina Solar will offer the end user the option to replace and reinstall those panels at Trina Solar’s expense by a CEC accredited installer where an offer of replacement or reinstallation is declined by the end user, Trina Solar will surrender an equivalent number of STCs to the CER. If you have any Trina Solar panels in stock, contact Trina Solar to find out if they meet the CEC Terms and Conditions. Their contact details can be found here. You can also send a photo of: the PV module label any serial numbers to [email protected] What happens next Any STC claims that have already been approved with non-compliant solar panels installed will be pursued directly with Trina Solar, not the installer, retailer or any other party. In order to remain protected in future, the CEC recommends that you use the Solar Panel Validation app. The CER accepts that verification through SPV is an acceptable process for an installer to verify panels are compliant. If an installer has a positive verification through SPV and the panels are subsequently found to be non-compliant, the CER will pursue the manufacturer who provided the incorrect data and not others in the supply chain. Trina Solar has advised that it intends to provide its supply chain with more details regarding this matter in the coming days. Visit the CER’s website for more information on this matter.

22.01.2022 Another nice one. The mission statement of the Coffs Harbour Innovation Hub (https://business.facebook.com/iHubCC) is to provide an outstanding environment for regional business development, which will foster entrepreneurship, innovation and creation of knowledge and smart technology based enterprises. The Innovation Hub therefore wanted a system that was supportive of their mission statement, and wanted to use the most up to date technology. We incorporated the sophisticat...ed SolarEdge Inverter, which provides monitoring of each solar panel separately, using an easy to understand monitoring app that visually depicts solar production and energy consumption. In conjunction with the SolarEdge inverters, we coupled it with the powerful 415Watt LG Neon2 Panel, providing the best technology on the market as well as the longest product warranty. As the 415 Watt panels have the same size footprint as less powerful panels, it also makes them the most space efficient solar panel. This has the added benefits of reducing installation costs, minimizing racking and labour costs. Thank you Toni & Team from the Innovation Hub for showcasing these great products. See more

22.01.2022 Good news! Today is a big victory for everyone who's been part of the movement pushing for climate action and clean energy. The NSW Government released a bo...ld plan that will take our state towards the low-carbon economy we need. The plan will speed up transmission power lines to carry solar and wind power from the New England and Central West to Sydney, and lock in around 60 new solar and wind farms by 2030. This is climate action that will creates jobs and brings down power bills.

22.01.2022 It is our right to protest about what we believe in. Climate activism is the opposite of selfish. Please sign and share.

21.01.2022 Renewables now! No need to wait for the government. Call on our companies to make the change.

20.01.2022 This is the way of the future.

18.01.2022 Add your voice to keep solar subsidies. http://solarscorecard.org.au/electorate/cowper/

17.01.2022 Indigenous owned solar is one of the most exciting things ever!

17.01.2022 Another report showing that we will pay more for electricity over the coming years. With an average of 4-5 years return on investment for a good Solar at current prices, it is a no brainer to know that this will reduce dramatically over the years coming if the price hike of energy providers don't stop! Give us a ring for a free and no binding quote, if you like to know what your savings would be.

15.01.2022 Very of-topic, apologies but I think you might just find it interesting: COAL Michael Bloomberg donating $715m to end coal in US The former New York City mayor is plunging $US500 million into an effort to put the nation on track toward a 100 per cent clean energy economy.

14.01.2022 Q. What is the secret to buying solar well? A. Recognising the five types of solar installer, and choosing the one that works for you. You will have undoubtedly... seen prices for new solar systems online, on the telly and in the papers - and you may be feeling a bit overwhelmed about what to expect. At time of writing, if you are in the market for, say, a 5kW system (which is roughly 20 panels), you could be seeing prices from $4,000 up to $9,000+ advertised, fully installed. That’s a big difference. What’s going on? Well, in the following article, I explain why there are large differences in pricing for the same size solar system, as well as how to choose a system that is right for you. Have a read, and let me know what you think! - Finn Peacock

14.01.2022 We are happy to hear that our hard work and commitment has been recognized by LG Electronics and have now been awarded the LG Authorised Energy Specialist Badge for 2018. The badge is only given to 70 out of 2000 solar companies in Australia and it is with great pride to say that we got one. Thank you to our team, who are doing a great job in looking after all our costumers and ensure that we operate under strict ethical and professional guide lines set by LG.

13.01.2022 Costa Rica is a lot more than just a perfect honeymoon destination. It’s a renewable energy paradise.

13.01.2022 I got a hilarious / depressing package from @greenpeaceap today - a snow globe made made with ash from the NSW bushfires. It is actually snowing ash in parts ...of Sydney today. @ScottMorrisonMP #wherethebloodyhellareya #theashglobe Global warming will continue to increase the frequency and severity of catastrophic events like this. Australia, with its wealth, its highly educated population and its proud history of scientific innovation should be a global leader in sustainability. We should be inspiring other countries with technology, policy & progress. Instead, we are a global embarrassment, with one of the highest per-capita emissions rates & one of the poorest recent records on climate action. @ScottMorrisonMP: this is the issue upon which you will be judged. Please stop tooling around with trying to codify religious privilege, learn some science, and declare a climate emergency. You are missing your moment. And Merry Christmas.

12.01.2022 Independent MP Zali Steggal is introducing a bill to accelerate climate action. Please sign!

11.01.2022 BREAKING: Ireland's parliament has voted to divest its 8bn sovereign fund from the fossil fuel industry! In stark contrast to our govt, who bring blocks of coal into parliament to appease their coal lobby mates #StopAdani

11.01.2022 What a great opportunity - we are always looking out for the newest innovations in renewables. Therefore, a big shout out to LG Energy for inviting us to visit their factory in Gumi, South Korea. Most of you know already that we have partnered with LG for over 5 years as the Authorized Dealer for Coffs Harbour and surroundings. I can tell you we have no regrets! This partnership has ensured that we could provide the best panels at a very good price and no, we do not do it just for the business. We do it for our planet as well. As we use LG’s high performance and long-lasting panels, we ensure that our carbon footprint is minimised. Thanks again LG and we look forward to meeting you all in South Korea.

10.01.2022 Great work NSW! More renewables to help us turn the tide on climate change.

04.01.2022 BREAKING: NSW Labor just announced they will add 7GW of new large-scale renewable generation by 2030 and create a state-owned renewable generator. Amazing! Thei...r energy plan aims to add 4GW of renewables in the next term of government, which is one of our key election asks this will help NSW go from a laggard to a renewable powerhouse It’s time for the Berejiklian Government to stop resting on their laurels and commit to a real renewable plan. Will Gladys Berejiklian match Labor’s plan for more clean energy jobs and investment across the state?

03.01.2022 Just like to share a great job from last year. Jarred was looking for a local business with a good reputation and high standards. His work as a roofer at Fews Roof, Plumbing & Gas meant he saw lots of sub-standard systems by less reputable solar companies, and it was very important to him that his system was not like that. During our site inspection to Jarred’s home, we made sure we understood what Jarred wanted to achieve from his solar system. A major objective for Jarred w...as to ensure his system was trouble-free and one that provided a long lifetime and long warranties. The latest LG Neon2 Panels fit his criteria, providing 25-year product warranty, which also includes the labour. Most other panels warranty the performance for 25 years and only 10-15 years on the product, which means many people are misled about the system’s lifetime. Jarred was very happy with his install, and on his recommendations to his business and family, we received several more jobs. Thank you Jarred! See more

03.01.2022 A little off-topic: As renewable energy projects proliferate, Cannon-Brookes says, so do jobs. Some 5000 in Queensland alone at latest count, up from 3500 the previous year. Potentially, there could be hundreds of thousands.

03.01.2022 Award-winning fast car charging system for your home by SolarEdge.

02.01.2022 So why is Angus Taylor promoting fossil fuel when Wind and solar are not just the cheapest forms of new generation, they are the reason why Australia’s electricity emissions have fallen so dramatically in recent years

02.01.2022 Renewables are pushing down power prices-well done to all contributing to this fantastic outcome.

01.01.2022 Just another (sustainable) day in paradise. Check out this photo of one of our recent jobs at Moonee Beach. The 8kw solar system feature the latest technology premium LG Neon 2 solar panels and is battery ready.

01.01.2022 We can not stress enough to our costumers to do their research before deciding on their system. There is top quality out there, while you will pay a little more upfront, your reward will be a trouble free, long life solar system. Our Tips: - Buy from a local installer - Compare your offers (components) with website reviews... - Ask for a site visit and have your system design explained: Why XXkW system? What is my return on investment? Why this layout? What is the impact on my power bill, How much can I export (sell back) to the grid". There are no stupid questions in solar - it is complex and it is your investment, you have the right to ask anything you want. - Lastly, Output Warranty is not Product Warranty, and Tier 1 does not mean a superior quality panel. Sellers who keep pushing these facts, don't care what they sell you. Feel free to contact us, if you would like further information on how to avoid Crap Solar. See more

01.01.2022 It’s been 4 decades since the first credible, global report on the effect of carbon dioxide on the global climate.
