28.04.2022 SPS are experienced mine site contractors; we develop custom solutions for complicated pumping duties in unusual and remote sites. Our experience and expertise in both the solar and pumping industries, has ensured our solutions in this niche area are second to none.

08.04.2022 Our Team, The depth of experience, diverse range of skills, and backgrounds from our hand-picked team of talented individuals is central to the success of SPS. No amount of qualifications count, without a humble attitude and a strong moral compass. We are proud to introduce you to the people in our team they are ready to serve you.

28.03.2022 We take the time to develop your energy strategy with you and follow through with a comprehensive reporting and ongoing analysis for the life of your system. We take out the guesswork and ensure you know exactly where you stand before, during and after your project installation.

22.03.2022 Our remote solar projects always begin with site analysis, once we understand your budget, current and future load profile and aspect at your site, we can design the perfect solution for your off-grid installation. Off grid projects can start as small as a couple of lights in a shed, a weekender, a family home with high loads or an irrigation pump required to run 24 hours (see solar pumping). Swipe above to see what our typical off-grid project lifecycle will include.

25.01.2022 All hands on deck for the SPS Solar team at Gulgong this week - they have been busy drilling holes for a ground-mount frame to support a 100kW grid-connected solar system installation for Wenona Lodge. The project is well underway and when completed is expected to reduce the power consumption at this site by 60%. We will keep you posted as this progresses.

25.01.2022 Vielun Pastoral Company has commissioned SPS Solar to complete several solar bore pump and solar power projects across their farming enterprises between Coolah and Mudgee NSW and have been working with the company since 2006. Our program is to buy properties, do them up and increase their value, that includes making sure our water system is correct, and getting the power right. SPS Solar know what we are doing and understand what we want. We have a 12kW system here that hand...les all our power, we are saving about $6000 a year and we get our money back in 2-3 years’ time. It’s a no-brainer. We believe in shopping locally, I don’t believe these guys are not more expensive than anyone else, but even if they were, I’m willing to pay a bit more for the service that these guys provide. I make a phone call and things get fixed. Sam Broinowski - VPC

24.01.2022 Solars future is looking very, very affordable according to clean energy investor and advocate Ramez Naam. "Utility-scale solar electricity is going to drive fossil fuels out of the power generation market, sooner rather than later..."

23.01.2022 This 64kW system was installed for Stoddarts Doors and Windows just in time for Christmas. This commercial solar system is made up of 144 x Longi Hi-MO4 Mono-facial 450W 144 half cell panels. The panels are combined with a Solar Edge 50kW Three Phase inverter. Stoddarts can expect an average Daily Solar Production of between 240-260 kilowatt-hours. Their investment is expected to pay for itself in 3.3 years and will deliver a Return on Investment of just over 29%.

22.01.2022 James and his family of four were building a 4-bedroom home in a remote location and did not have access to power. They approached SPS Solar + Water in 2016 to design a system to power their new home and support their lifestyle so they could live comfortably in their selected location. We wanted a modern house on a challenging block, the only power option was off-grid, we got quotes to connect to the grid and they were astronomical. For us it made sense to go with an off-gri...d solution. Initially, it is a bit of a minefield, I went into it with no idea. For us; we wanted someone with good quality products, had done it [off-grid-solar] before and were local. The roof-mount system array is 6.16 kW in size with an average daily power production of 28kWh with an SMA Sunnyboy 5.0-1 inverter and 8kW SMA Sunny Island. The Outback 2000Ah Gel battery bank comprises 96kWh of storage capacity allowing just over 50kWh usable energy each day. The system was designed to provide 3 days of autonomy (for cloudy weather) according to the client’s load profile with zero solar energy input. The expected life cycle of the battery system is 5400 cycles translating to approximately 15 years. A backup generator was discussed, however has never been required, the customer has lived in the home since construction without any form of generator backup. #solarpumpingsolutions #spssolarmudgee #remotesolar #offgridsolarpower #goingoffgrid

22.01.2022 The SPS pump crew are hard at it again, working out west and doing their magic with water and the sun and always keeping a smile on the dial...

21.01.2022 Really proud of our team putting this together in record time and on budget

21.01.2022 Another successful Mudgee Field Day for the SPS Solar crew - through the wind and cold there was strong interest in remote solar power and solar pumps... we look forward to following up on these new enquires over the coming weeks and getting some exciting projects underway. #solarpumpingsolutions #remotesolar #wemovewaterwell

20.01.2022 Servicing pumps at Cobar includes pulling up 120m of cable and lay-flat hose, and the need for a bit of space. Our pump technicians didnt even flinch! Job done, water is on for Easter!

20.01.2022 One of last week's solar masterpieces! No more bill pain for these happy home-owners with a quality system and installation they are set to produce up to 46kWh of power every day for the next 25 years - this will easily cover a large component of their consumption as well as pay for their outlay in a couple of years - with the benefits continuing on for the 25-year life of their system...

19.01.2022 The future for Australia and renewables is looking strong...

19.01.2022 If you ever see these two on your roof, you know you are in good hands. these are "The Andies" and they are our A-team when it comes to putting panels on a roof. Tin, tile, flat, steep, high or low...they will not falter...

19.01.2022 Our pump team travelled south last week to install a Grundfos solar submersible pumping system into a creek near Braidwood. The new Grundfos SQF2.5-2 submersible pump with CU200 controller is powered by 5 x 330 watt panels and will deliver 15,000 litres of water per day on average. The system was designed to work to a total head of 60 metres and is possible to pump an additional 30m lift to a nearby dam when required. The pump has been set in a 6 inch PVC sleeve in the river which can be removed during a flood event, the whole system has been set up to run automatically so it can operate safely and independently. #solarpumpingsolutions #solarpoweredpumps #solarpump #grundfospumps

19.01.2022 This might not feel like the right time to go shopping We know you are in overload at the moment, trying to work from home, look after the kids, make sure you keep healthy and the list goes on BUT - if you are trying to reduce your overheads and preserve cash it is worth one minute of your time to read our message Brace yourself, this is a longer-than-usual post but we know it is definitely worth your time... Paying off a solar power system can cost you less each week than you are already paying for power, leaving you with extra cash, from week 1, in most cases; even if you need to use finance! So we are very clear - This means zero dollars down and more money in your pocket from week 1. For many of us, while we work and study from home, our power consumption is most likely going to increase meaning higher energy costs for the next 90 days at least... so the argument for solar becomes even more worthwhile. At a time like this, we understand, you need to be 100% certain you will be in front from a cashflow perspective before you commit to anything and it goes without saying, you need peace of mind knowing that you have invested in a quality system that gives you optimum performance as well as being compatible with future technologies and a real team to support you not some crazy call centre. We have the tools to take the guesswork out of this investment you will understand exactly how your cash flow will benefit from week 1. No illusions, no tricks, just the hard facts based on your actual data and location we have industry-leading software that can generate an accurate and individual report based on your roof space, aspect, geographical location, energy agreement, specific components selection (panel and inverter choices), current consumption as well as how this looks if you are eligible for finance. Step 1. Email a copy of your most recent power bill through to [email protected] We will generate your 100% free, no-obligation, comprehensive solar assessment to establish exactly what your costs and returns will look like from week 1, projected out to 25 years. We will email your report back to you so you can take a look. It will have information similar to the example we have included in this post and a whole lot more. If you never want to hear from us again, then that is fine, but once you understand your specific assessment and you can see it will work for you, we can organize a phone or Zoom meeting to go through the finer details on exactly how we can achieve a cash-flow-positive investment for you from week 1 of your solar installation.

18.01.2022 A little bit more from our 100kW ground-mount solar system construction work out at Wenona Lodge, Gulgong this week.

17.01.2022 Coffin Creek Angus near Mudgee run a Seedstock operation comprising approximately 300 head of breeding cattle. Jacks brief to SPS Solar + Water was to replace an old windmill on an existing bore with a solar pump to supply water for their operation. The bore had a total depth of 16m (53 feet), a standing water level at 5.5m (18 feet), and a narrow 4-inch casing. Water was to be pumped from the bore up to holding tanks 800m away with a further 50m vertical lift bringing the t...otal vertical lift to 70m. SPS Solar specified and installed a Grundfos SQF 1.2-2 Submersible Pump with CU200 controller powered by a 5 x 260 watt ground-mount solar array. This system is capable of pumping up to 1200 litres an hour up to 160m lift. Jack said - Having good access to reliable, clean water on good trough systems is making a massive difference for us. Initially, we approached Steve, he came out on site and scoped the project for us and from then it was a seamless system and a really simple process. Its sunny more than its windy, its free, once its in it is set and forget, we put in over two years ago and havent had to look at it once. Compared to the ongoing maintenance of the windmill which seemed to be whenever we had cattle on troughs, solar is a no-brainer in my book.

16.01.2022 SPS Solar equipped this new bore which is now producing 31 litres per second for this commercial irrigation project.

16.01.2022 NSW Governments Renewables plan is expected to reduce emissions from NSW’s electricity sector by around half, compared to a business-as-usual trajectory, with an equivalent reduction of around 90 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually by 2030, and turn NSW into one of the lowest cost regions in the developed world...

15.01.2022 A fun and very full two days with the amazing team from OGA Creative talking to eight of our customers about their experience with SPS Solar - very excited to see the finished production... thank you to everyone involved for being so generous with your time @ Mudgee, New South Wales

15.01.2022 SPS Solar + Water have just completed an exciting project for Browning Brothers, Narromine. The challenge; to replace an old diesel, line-shaft bore pump with solar to cut running costs and provide water for their broadacre farming enterprise. The solution; a 15kW Franklin submersible pump @ 46m, capable of producing up to 20 litres per second powered by 41kW of solar PV positioned on two ground-mount arrays. The solar pumping system is blending solar and diesel in the shoulder periods via a ZENER Eco-drive, water is stored in a nearby reservoir.

14.01.2022 No more power bill pain for these lovely customers out at Bara near Mudgee...their new 9.9kW installation looks great, but even better, their return on investment calculates out at 36.1% (yes, that is correct... thirty-six percent!!!). The payback period is 2.7 years and in the first year alone, they will save $3,590. Everyone could do with this kind of extra cash...

13.01.2022 LSR Mudgee originally made contact with SPS Solar to enquire about a solar solution for their commercial premises in 2014. Initially a 25kW grid connect solar system was installed. After great success with this installation as well as a company expansion, LSR came back to SPS Solar requesting an increase their system size. This was achieved with a system expansion up to 43kW. Simon Leven, LSR owner said: When we were looking into solar we wanted to use a company we could tru...st, one that would give us a personal service and who could design a system that would best suit our business. We received exactly this when we went with SPS, they were competitive with price and as a added bonus they were local. We would just like to say a huge thank you to SPS for the service and install of the solar panels at our workshop. The installation process was professional and speedy, followed by great after sales care that has been just as prompt and impressive. Since having the solar system at the workshop the results have been outstanding, our return on investment has far better than we expected and the savings have already been in the thousands.

12.01.2022 Perry Street Hotel approached SPS Solar for a solution to their power bill which was the greatest cost to their commercial accommodation operation. This was no ordinary commercial solar installation, challenges included a 52-degree roof pitch, heritage listed building, three stories and a fully booked hotel that was not able to close during the course of the installation. SPS Solar took care of all engineering and Heritage requirements with the customer and relevant departmen...ts and completed the installation without delay or incident. The 25.65 kW Grid Connected Solar system was fitted inside a fully scaffolded hotel and included Enphase 270w Micro Inverters and 90 Solar Modules as well as Enphase Envoy Monitoring providing consumption and production data and reporting for the customer. The installation produces an average of 128 kWh per day against an average daily site consumption 263kWh. Though the consumption would have supported a larger installation, roof space was a limiting factor. Perry Street has successfully made a significant dent in their power consumption costs.

11.01.2022 Renewables headed in the right direction...

10.01.2022 A recently installed 12.58 kW Grid Connected Solar System for our customer at Peel, NSW. An average Daily Solar Production of 53 kWh can be expected which will make a substantial difference to power costs at this family residence. This system is made up of 34 x Trina 370 watt Mono Crystalline Panels and two 5kW SolarEdge Single phase inverters.... SPS Solar support a number of quality inverters, we recommend using SolarEdge because it enables more energy generation from each solar panel by mitigating power losses that result from a mismatch between panels. Weaker panels do not affect the performance of strong ones. The SolarEdge system is future-proofed against potential risks that could cause decrease lifetime energy production.

09.01.2022 Last week saw our pump techs working on a 24 hour Bore Testing project taking them right through a frosty morning near Bathurst. The testing allowed our customer correct equipping of their two bores after determining accurate and specific draw down levels and sustainable flow rates. 09.01.2022 Oz Choppers is a commercial helicopter refurbishment business that wanted to reduce their energy costs in the business and make a positive environmental difference. SPS conducted a comprehensive assessment of OC consumption over a 14 day period prior to presenting a solution to Oz Choppers. The final project consisted of 2 x 15 kW grid connected solar systems on the workshop roof area, to ensure compatibility with two 3 phase metering points within the main workshop and spray... booth shed. 120 PV modules coupled with 2 x SMA STP 15kW 3 phase inverters. This installation provides an average daily power production of 146 kWh. Kate Rogers, business owner said: From when we first contacted them, SPS Solar were very professional, Steve came and saw us, gave us a very detailed explanation of what he would do starting with the [site analysis] datalogging. After processing, he supplied a spreadsheet with clear costs and analysis, how long it would take and what the process would be. We were very well informed all the way along and it was all done very professionally. #solarpumpingsolutions #mudgeesolarpower #spssolar #commercialsolar #solarpower
