21.01.2022 Another day at work DRY NEEDLING is one of my favourite go to pain relieving techniques which involves solid filliform needles (much like acupuncture needles) to relieve various types of pain related to myofascial pain syndrome. Dry needling is used to specifically target be restore muscle function with an emphasis on removing trigger points (‘knots’ or ‘tight bands of muscle contraction’) and improving tissue healing and restoring to normal tissue function. Dry needling can be helpful in treating various conditions such as knee pain, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, tight calves, nerve related pain in the feet and many more.

02.01.2022 As podiatrist I have my own opinions on all kinds of footwear. I do believe however, not one footwear is suited to all. We are all so unique and so are our feet! However I was very pleased with my new Nike Frees to arrive just in time for a slippery sublime / trail hike on the weekend. Frees are quite a cushioned minimalist shoe with a really great non slip tread. While aiming for a more ‘minimal style,’ they still have some cushion. In these shoes I can feel what’s going on under my feet without feeling the pain associated unwanted foreign objects or to not be totally disassociated with the ground that I am landing too hard or coming over the ankles.
