Alla has a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the Melbourne Conservatorium, and a Diploma of Music from Moscow, Russia, specialising in Conducting and Classical Piano. She started Solfege House in 1996, as well as teaching for 18 years at Yamaha Music, now having over 25 years of experience in teaching piano, theory, classical voice, conducting, and arranging. Em has a Bachelor if Music from Monash University, specializing in Jazz Vocal Performance. Em has also participated in Estill Voice Training Level 1 + 2, was a vocal mentor with the New York Jazz Symposium and The Juilliard School, and is the recipient for the Melbourne Fresh Composition Prize, the 2018 Anna Chmiel Memorial Travel Grant, Bornstein Jazz Vocal Prize and Future Leaders Jazz Awards.
