25.01.2022 Unfortunately our club is unable to hold bingo due to a private function being held at our club on Wednesday night the 18/11 we are sorry for any inconvenience but it will be eyes down again at 7.30 on Wednesday 25/11 hope to see you then.

25.01.2022 To all ticket holders in our cats cash bonanza which is due to be drawn on this Sunday the 22/11/20 due to the COVID 19 restrictions imposed on our club we cannot hold the draw on the 22/11/20 ,at this stage hopefully we can hold the draw on SUNDAY the 6/12/20 but on this date there will still be Covid 19 restrictions on our club we are sorry that this has happened but someone will win (THE CATS CASH BONANZA)

24.01.2022 Due to the COVID 19 restrictions 1 person every 4sq meters that have been imposed our club we are heavily restricted with the number of people that we can have in our clubroom .Based on this we have canceled our Friday night teas for this week hopefully normality will resume from the 1st of December we are sorry for any inconvenience.

24.01.2022 FISH TEA INFORMATION We are asking that you please make a booking to secure your seats as we have to still monitor our numbers due to COVID19. We are all excited to get back to the club but we just need to mindful of numbers and we are trying accommodate everyone. People will still be allowed through door till we reach our maximum. 21.01.2022 As per government restrictions The famous Solly Fish Teas will be closed this week. The club will reopen as per government guidelines. As we go into these restrictions please stay safe, check in with each other especially thoses who may not cope with the isolation period and stay home if not essential. This is the only way to curve this horrible infection. Take care everyone

15.01.2022 Hello All, As you may have heard Sollies will be fielding teams in junior grades U9s, U11s and U13s as part of the Port Pirie Junior Football Association for season 2020. Auskick will also run a 10 week program but will not be involved in games this year as they have for the last few seasons. This decision was made based on feedback from players and parents who were contacted and through the support of coaches. A draft program will be out tomorrow with U13s expected to s...tart Wednesday July 22nd and U9s & U11s to start Sunday 26th July after school holidays. We will need to get all of our players registered and begin training next week. Details will be confirmed later tonight or tomorrow. As always we welcome any new players and hope to see all players returning from last year. All details relating to full program, registration requirements and training details will be communicated in the next day or so. 13.01.2022 Solomontown Football Club AGM will be held on the 5th of December 2020 at 11.30am, all position vacant. Nomination forms available at the bar and close on the on the 1st December. Volunteer appreciation lunch will follow.

13.01.2022 Solomontown Football Club were pleased to be able to contribute to the recent Fundraiser held by South Augusta Football Club for their young player Will Bolitho, who was seriously injured in a finals game this season. A total donation of $800 was presented to South Augusta representatives Mick Kerin and Nick Heron by our Finance Officer Larry Rawlins and Chairperson Skinny Harmer. This donation is made up of $200 from the Club and $600 raised by the players.... We wish Will a speedy recovery.

13.01.2022 FYI - The SGL has asked that we inform anyone that is wishing to attend the football that they be reminded that no spectators are allowed on the oval during any part of the day. This includes spectators kicking the footy at break times or spectators heading to listen coaches during the break times. Thank you

11.01.2022 From the Solomontown Football Club Sadly, it has been a tragic week for our Club with the passing of three people whom have been involved with our Club over a long period of time. We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Trish Cable and her family on the sad loss of her mother, Audrey Templer. May she Rest In Peace.... To Steven and Darren George and families please also accept our club’s sincere condolences on the recent loss of your father Ivan George who attended a lot of games over the years watching you both play for our Club, may he Rest In Peace. Sadly, our Club lost another player member in Ken Milhinch, who passed away early Saturday morning. To Geoff, Jan and families please accept our Club’s sincere condolences on the unexpected passing of Kenny. May he Rest In Peace.

06.01.2022 Important Update for members and followers of Solomontown Football Club, The management committee has decided that Solomontown Football Club has stuck by the original decision to not commence playing in the 2020 Season. There are plenty of reasons behind this decision as disappointing as it is and breaks our blue and white hearts, its at the best decision that we not be apart of the shorten season. Please understand this has stressed the committee about making such a hard impacting decision. Thank you for your understanding.
