So, it was great when I learnt how to actually be on holidays in body and in mind.... Here are a few easy tips that you can apply today. UNPLUG AND RELAX ON YOUR BREAK 1.) We all know stuff happens so before you leave delegate some responsibility and if a problem pops up while you are away, you have it redirected. 2.) Set some connectivity ground rules and stick to them! eg screen curfew, charge your phone in a different room. 3.) Plan some alternative activities reading, writing, or start a jigsaw puzzle. 4.) What’s your favourite? Beach, Botanical or Bush! Organise some time outdoors. 5.) Introduce meditation while you are on leave. Take all of the to-dos inside your head and write them down. In both work and home life, put pen to paper and cover all the things causing you stress, overwhelm and even what you are procrastinating. ’, ’ ! Grab three highlighters. It’s categorising time! Highlight the items on your list that you flat out don’t want to do, then the items you can’t do (however you interpret this) and finally, the things you should be doing the procrastination tasks!
