Extension from 28 September 2020... The existing JobKeeper scheme runs until 27 September 2020. The Government has announced that the JobKeeper scheme will be extended from 28 September 2020 until 28 March 2021. There are two separate extension periods. For each extension period, an additional actual fall in turnover test applies and the rate of the JobKeeper payment is different. 14.01.2022 NSW Small Business COVID-19 $10,000 Support Grant To ease the pressure on thousands of small businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the NSW Government has announced a COVID-19 Small Business Support Grant as part of the NSW Government Small Business Support Fund. This assistance supports the ongoing operations of small businesses highly impacted from COVID-19 pandemic following the NSW Public Health Order of 31 March 2020.... Applications will be open until 1 June 2020. Eligibility Small business owners and non-profit organisations are eligible for a grant of up to $10,000 if they: - have between 1-19 employees and an annual turnover of more than $75,000; - have total Australian wages below the NSW Government 2019-20 payroll tax threshold of $900,000; - have an Australian Business Number as at 1 March 2020, are based in NSW and employ staff as at 1 March 2020; - are highly impacted by the NSW Government Covid-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order 2020 issued on 30 March 2020, defined as a decline in turnover of 75 per cent compared to the equivalent period (of at least two weeks) in 2019; and - have unavoidable business costs not otherwise the subject of other NSW and Commonwealth Government financial assistance measures. 13.01.2022 Temporary early release of superannuation The government is allowing individuals affected by the coronavirus to access up to $10,000 of their superannuation in 201920 and a further $10,000 in 202021. Individuals will not need to pay tax on amounts released and the money they withdraw will not affect Centrelink or Veterans’ Affairs payments. From mid-April 2020, eligible individuals will be able to apply online through myGov to access up to $10,000 of their superannuation be...fore 1 July 2020. They will also be able to access up to a further $10,000 from 1 July 2020 for approximately three months. Eligibility To apply for early release, you must satisfy any one or more of the following requirements: - You are unemployed. - You are eligible to receive a job seeker payment, youth allowance for jobseekers, parenting payment (which includes the single and partnered payments), special benefit or farm household allowance. On or after 1 January 2020, either - you were made redundant - your working hours were reduced by 20% or more if you are a sole trader, your business was suspended or there was a reduction in your turnover of 20% or more. 03.01.2022 JobKeeper Scheme How Employers Access the Payment The government has now passed legislation for the $130 billion JobKeeper Payment scheme to support businesses significantly affected by the coronavirus to help keep more Australians in jobs. Eligible employers will be reimbursed a fixed amount of $1,500 per fortnight for each eligible employee. Employers will need to pay eligible employees a minimum of $1,500 (before tax) per fortnight to claim the JobKeeper payment. This wi...ll be paid to the employer in arrears each month by the ATO. The first payments to eligible employers will commence in the first week of May 2020. JobKeeper payments can be made for the period beginning 30 March 2020.
