25.01.2022 It doesn't feel like 5 years since Sol y Sombra celebrated with 25th Anniversary, but now in 2020 we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions this will be a ticketed family and friends event with limited numbers.

24.01.2022 Sol y Sombra dancers recently spent time in the studio dancing in some very crazy socks, and all for a great cause! We signed up to participate in the 2020 Crazy Sock Week event to raise funds for a gorgeous local little girl named Ruby. A special thanks to Eileen Wenn, who kindly donated many beautiful flamenco dance costumes and accessories to Sol y Sombra. We took this opportunity to raise more funds by individually purchasing these items to help Ruby and her family. #crazysocks4ruby

23.01.2022 Sol y Sombra celebrated their 30th Anniversary this afternoon with a mini Fiesta for family and a few close friends in the court yard of the Bunbury Art Gallery (sadly our numbers were limited due to covid restrictions) . Congratulations to everyone involved who made this a fabulous afternoon. More pics to come in the next few days.

20.01.2022 Make sure you visit the Blooming Art Exhibition at the Bunbury Art Gallery over the weekend. Always wonderful. Free entry!

20.01.2022 Bolero, one of Sol y Sombra's favourite pieces which we have danced to in the past, including the 2016 Eisteddfod and Gala night, here performed by the University of Western Australia. Beautiful.

18.01.2022 So happy we could co tribute in our small way! Ruby’s mum is a past Sol y Sombra student and an amazing mum!

06.01.2022 As promised, a few more photos from Sol y Sombra's 30th anniversary mini Fiesta at the Bunbury Art Gallery yesterday, 22 November. We would have dearly loved to have more of our supporters join in the festivities, however, it has been a tough year for everyone, and Covid restrictions meant we had to keep numbers small, and the show as low key as possible. We will be back in 2021 with more for you, our amazing friends and supporters. A huge THANKYOU to everyone who contributed to our Anniversary celebrations, and danced with us and supported us over the last 30 years.

01.01.2022 Quote for the week - flamenco is a journey, like learning a different language. it is a process where you will have highs and lows which you will learn from. It takes practice. Most importantly, enjoy the journey
